HTC ONE M8 UPDATE..Time to move on to Google Photos................ . Working great for me. It appears as though it has been close to a year and a half since the last update? This is a 5 Star app, and I am ready to donate, but I have to wonder if it has been abandoned. If abandoned, all it might take is one Google / Verizon / HTC update to shut this app down on my phone? I would like to see a Progess Bar and maybe some of the folder options others have mentioned.
This app is amazing! I used to use FolderSync, but it was a mess, didn't sync 100% of the pictures, and was really clunky to set up (if it even worked at all). In comes CloudVault after an in-depth search for a solution. Why isn't this on every phone? So easy to use, I love seeing the little icon in the notification area telling me that the app is doing it's thing each time I take a picture. Works great with no fuss or missed pictures. If it continues to do this for a while I'll definitely purchase the Donate app, and so should you ;) I really wish something like this existed for my wife's iPhone...
5 stars if... It can become possible to upload from specific folders to specific folders. For example, my WhatsApp media folder, DCIM & downloads folders move to corresponding folders on drive. Otherwise, excellent app!
Doesn't work for me I'm using Android 4.3 (Motorola Moto G) I could connect to google drive and I can see my folders there, but it looks like the app can't see the pictures on my phone neither new nor old ones.
Strange data usage A few weeks ago, this app decided to upload 450MB over the mobile network, while the checkbox in settings says upload over wifi only. I thought that was a little strange, but what the hell, my data plan covers it. Now last night, it uploaded 48 Gigabyte (!!!!) through wifi, while there's nothing on the device to upload. I'm curious, what the hell did this app do last night? And developer, you are lucky I was on wifi, else you would have found yourself in court!! Uninstalled as quickly as possible from all my devices.
Only if you have unlimited data! "Upload only when connected to WiFi" doesn't work. Uploaded 2gb of videos and pics on 4G when I clearly did not have wifi. Got penalized for going over data plan!
Please stay tuned for a number of new features to be added soon!
- code fixes
- added new permission READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE as some newer devices are requiring this
- Squashed bug that prevented Intelligent Mobile Uploads from working as expected sometimes.
I have added a donate version to Play Store if you would like to support me and prefer that over PayPal.
