It was all fine and dandy up until the Gates of Shadows. When in the original you'd have been able to enchant your gear to help ensure you could win. The enemies are still balanced to that. In this version of the game, enchanting is not a thing, but the enemies are not rebalanced, making the challenge of defeating all six demons in a row with random Challenge mode effects nigh impossible. Essentially, the game desperately needs to be rebalanced for the lack of enchantments and eclipse mode.

I do like this game and this version is worth the price... however I do have problems with it. Certain things were removed from the free version but the game wasn't balanced to make up for the changes. Example after completing the tourney and challenges in all areas there isn't a way to make significant progress your level. You also can't enchant your equipment. Both of these make the final gauntlet frustrating at best. The game isn't bad I just wish nekki had taken a little time to balance more

This game feels unfinished, and is ultimately a shallow game, despite having features that would do well in a full game. Graphics aren't bad, although the fighters are just a shadow, and the fighting animations are good. That said, once you've been through a few fights you realize this is all there is, no minigames or anything else to keep you interested. The armor/weapons aren't interesting and you simply upgrade them to make your fights slightly easier as the difficulty scales up, repetitive.
