This is a great little app to have if you're in need of a knot and dont have cell service. Has a quick basic list of knots to pick from. Pros and cons are helpful. There are no annoying ads, just a little one at the bottom. Formatting is a little rough, and the terms are not always explained (bight, stitch, whipping, etc.). Though in context you should be able to figure out what the terms mean.
Seems great. Loads of well organized info. Some images take work to make sense of, but I'm pretty sure thats just how pictures of knots are gonna be. A small definitions page describing the knot centric vocabulary used would be a nice touch to improve use ability for the rope illiterate.
Good app. Some of the walkthroughs are too much to follow without possibly adding videos. I'd fail 2 or 3 times before YouTube-ing it, and then I'd figure it out. Will update my review if videos are added.
Great if you want to learn knots. The biggest problem is that the descriptions on how to do it with each step are sometimes difficult to understand. I think that the majority of the descriptions need to be rewritten so that they are more understandable.
This is a wonderful app for a beginner or to refresh one's memory in tying all kinds of knots! I was in the US Navy years ago and had forgotten many of the knots we learned in boot camp. Very helpful!
Some knot pictures OK but app color scheme is bad for colorblind people. Cannot see red text on black background. Some ropes also red and black, so it is difficult to see details of many knots.
Added new knots: Autoblock, Figure of 9 loop, Gnat hitch, Tumble hitch.
Bug fixes. Small interface improvements.
