Control your Nest thermostat, arm and disarm your Nest Secure alarm system, see your home with Nest Cam, and get an alert if Nest Protect goes off – all in one place. And receive notifications on your Android phone or tablet.

Nest uses sensors, algorithms, and the location of your phone to do the right thing automatically, turning off the heat and turning on the camera when you leave. Forget to set the alarm? It will notice, and send you a Remind Me alert.

Ratings and reviews

Good App... not Great. Icons and functions match the flow and design of the thermostat. Very intuitive. I got the app to make setting up the schedule easier. However, the schedule screen, does not "fit" the screen/display of my phone. And will not expand or shrink... so I cannot make it fit. Clearly a bug. If it would fit my display... would be 5 star. It is VERY nice to adjust the temp and fan, in the middle of the night, without having to get out of bed.

Initially great but not so much now. I had no issues with the app for the first year and a half. Now the app regularly shows thermostat offline. The thermostat itself has never shown an error code. Always shows connected to Wi-Fi. Software is up to date. If I restart the thermostat that generally fixes the issue. But that doesn't help when I'm traveling. Have not been able to find a fix. Android phone and Xfinity WiFi.

I honestly don't like the app that much... let me explain. It looks nice and the UI is OK, but the ability to go back into past events or history and not have the options or button to actually pause a pre recorded video seems like an option to have if I'm going back and reviewing video. Another thing when I have my boundaries set is that it doesn't work properly, so for that, I think I'm going to change cameras here in the new year and find something that actually has features that I like.
