The writing for these mysteries is exceptional, humanistic and surprising. Surely some of the best interactive fiction of the modern era. Regretfully, as much as I was delighted with the first mystery I have been blocked from making further progress in the first episode of the second mystery. Usually there's an arrow in the upper left to navigate away from a chat session with a character, but after a shocking news story and a chat with Forensics, I discovered that the arrows were missing.😩

Almost a great game. The production values are quite good, with real life actors, etc. There is some interaction and decision making, but whether it actually influences the course of the game isn't clear, because it seems to come to the conclusion regardless of the decision the player makes. And I wish there was a way to tap to fill and advance the text, rather than waiting for it to gradually fill and proceed. The stories were pretty good. If there is a sequel, more control plz

Played the Redman one. Do not expect to actually solve a crime; in the end, this is a visual novel, and the plot is mostly red herrings and deus ex machinas. Your choices barely matter. Writing is mixed, as if written by several writers of varying quality. Some parts are near brilliant. Other parts are cliche and annoyingly preachy. The plot starts out quite compelling but goes downhill in the second act. To my surprise, it recovers and finishes pretty strong. Despite its flaws, it's worth a go!
