Love it, love the style it is in and the categories to choose from. They are always improving it. It used to refresh on you and you had to start all over again, but now it stays on your articles. My fave news app! I read it all the time and have many saved stories to go back and read later and for good information. Great App!
Been using for like 3 years and I have only seen this so get better and more functional. And it's already the best. The only other thing you might need to add to beat out competition like newsstand is an RSS and specific periodicals.
Still only one widget available? Vertical flip is lagging and really not a great way to flip through stories. Wonderful news agregator. Seems to always have the articles I'm interested in. Layout of app, Navigation is superb. Again minus stars because of the widget. Should have more than one option. The flip card approach is clunky and has to be made full size huge. How about a swipe left to right for stories?
Notoced issues with certain publications, using app about a month and New York Times articles never load. Also links for MIT technology review get stuck on one article, every link goes to one article but with the headlines of the story I clicked on. Good except for these bugs
What follows seems to happen less often, so I'm upping my rating. Frustrates the user over and over and over by promising one thing yet delivering another. The darn thing pulls up the wrong story 2/3 of the time. Positively infuriating. "Oh, you like dolphins? Well, here, read about viruses." Update: No, clicked articles still vanish with frustrating regularity.
Variety of sources and ability to tailor results to personal interests makes this app really strong. Stories and perspectives to it won't see in other outlets. Summaries and photos show for easy scanning when in a rush. I use in addition to BBC and Google news.
