Review from Eddie Barber
App has major usability flaws, support doesn't care You must manually open the app each morning for it to kick off its 'automatic download' of the newest issue. Frequently, when you tap a headline to read an article, it brings you to one a few pages back, then you have to swipe forward to get to the article you want. Makes reading the paper very frustrating. I spoke to support about this, and when they couldn't reproduce it, they simply said "This issue can't be fixed".
Buggy, unreliable Buggy, slow, and recently increasingly unreliable. I am confident that better performance is possible if sufficient talent and attention is brought to bear. The error-free NYTimes app is an example I am familiar with. Presently the Boston Globe e-paper is not an acceptable alternative to hard copy if you care to be up to date and informed. And sure enough, recent upgrade to lollipop galaxy tab s completely breaks this app with device authorization failure. What is wrong with you people?
App will make purchases w/out warning Overall app is fine with me. Beware, I copied the text on an article and now I've been charged. I didn't see any place which said that would occur. The app did not provide a warning pop up that a charge would occur either.
Can't even log in. Customer service said it was fixed but apparently not. Edit 1/29/15: still broken, complained again to the support team.
Only works sometimes The delivery guy used to be hit or miss. So I buy a digital subscription. What could go wrong? Well they seem to have a lot as trouble keeping the bugs out of this app.
Doesn't work Having the same device authorization issues that others are having.
When you try to zoom into an article it jumps to the next page.
