Everything works, but barely. My search function is entirely in Japanese and I can't tap on any articles in the "top news" section (the name of which I had to Google translate from a screenshot). The sign-in process is often buggy, having already had to reinstall and re sign-in about three times now. There was also no onboarding process whatsoever, and combined these things make for a pretty poor user experience. The app icon is cool, though.

Thank you for your review and we apologize for the inconvenience. NewsPicks app is currently designed to read Japanese news articles. If you want to read English articles, you could try Quartz (https://qz.com) or Quartz app (iOS) which is recently rebranded from NewsPicks English version.

Cannot get past the 1st POP-UP after opening and have no damn idea what that pop-up says because it thinks I can read some language other than English. Great illustration of the "Stupidity" of AI... OR, Put another way, AI is only as smart as its Human Handler! Give me an English version of the pop-up which cannot be gotten past... and I will reconsider my rating

I tried it out and, among other topics, picked "Apple" under the tech category as something I was interested. When I checked out my newsfeed, one of the top stories under the Apple category was a Fox News story about the Comic Con in "the Big Apple". Sorry, pass.
