Ratings and reviews

I have over 1,000 hours in Blue Archive. I love the students and their stories, and the game is fun to play. I treasure the time I have spent with the game. But the new gacha pull system being implemented is a bad decision that punishes players. It will reach us in global in a few months if the devs do not walk it back. I will change my review to 5 stars easily if the pull system change is not implemented.

I love most of what the game offers: the story, the characters, the design, etc etc. HOWEVER, I CANNOT IN GOOD FAITH RECOMMEND THIS GAME AFTER THE ANNOUNCED GACHA CHANGES. Currently, if you take 180-190 pulls to get one featured pickup character, you can pull up to 200 and spark the other featured pickup character. The newly announced system will reset the count when you earn a featured pickup character so if you get one at 180/190 pulls, you're screwed and need to pull 200 to guarantee the 2nd.

I started playing Blue Archive fairly recently (about 8 or so months ago), but the game quickly became one of my favorites. The story is so well made and I haven't found a single student whose design and personality I haven't loved. By making the characters I love harder to get, Nexon is ruining exactly what hooked me to this game in the first place. I can't, in good faith, continue to support this game if the decision to change the gacha system goes through. Please don't ruin Blue Archive.
