The game is fine but I got bored too soon. The controls frustrated me too often, not the worst ever but it was unnecessarly difficult to press down, it would always want to over instead The daily challenge is a joke and no challenge at all with too many repeats. Too many reviews are needed for the stage editor or
Love it! Simple, fun and addictive! While taking it to the next level, this addition to the series exceeds all of my expectations. My first encounter with the Lode Runner series was back in the 90's; developed by Sierra, for DOS, with a compatible Windows 95 launcher. I can't remember the exact name...but it was something along the lines of "the legend (something or other)". While it doesn't share the jungle theme, they took a new direction and found a worthy upgrade. This new theme fits perfectly. The Controls are smooth and accurate...and at times, I almost entirely forget that I'm tapping on a screen. Rarely do I have to focus on my fingers position, in order to maintain proper control. An option for a floating direction pad would be nice. Maybe even tap to move. You can however, while paused, pan & zoom, allowing you to select an exact location to move to and perform one action. Once unpaused, your player will automatically move to, take action and pause the game again, allowing you to play, one step at a time. This is how you maximize your high score! On addition to the advertised 300 levels, you get plenty of excitement from unlocking stuff, almost with almost every achievement. All good stuff. Did I mention...no intrusive ads? Actually, I don't remember seeing one....hmmm
The controls bothered me. I lost a stage several times just cz I tapped the left button instead of up. I wud be better If we cud customize the controller, the size and position

Lode Runner 1 is a rare game that would be better than its predecessor if not for the bugs. A combination of reflexes and logic are required to tackle both designer and community made levels, set to jammin' synthwave music and gorgeously moody backdrops. However, on top of the fact that you can't play OFFLINE (ーー;) there are a few areas for improvement. A) The sound level is inconsistent, sometimes the music is louder after I restart a level. B) When the game is paused after I break a brick with an enemy in the process of falling into it, I must unpause the game, wait for the enemy to land in the hole, then pause the game again. C) Upon pausing the game, the camera sometimes goes to a random part of the map, away from your character. Overall one of the best play store games, and hopefully will be improved in later updates.
First few levels were super easy but it starts getting hard at about level 75.best part is no ads no in app purchases and annoying pop ups just pure fun gameplay with lots of levels and play modes. Highly recommended!
