First day of televised preseason games and the app stops working on Android. I tested three different devices, same results. Crashes and shuts down. And because the Rogers NHL website seems like it was designed by a drunk monkey, it won't allow online viewing, instead telling me to run the app. Which doesn't work.
The app is great for staying up to date with your team, but actually paying for nhl tv isn't worth the money. I paid $140 to be able to watch any game anywhere on any device, but what I get is a blackout for every game I actually want to watch and forced to scour the internet trying to find a stream of the game. Such a rip off
This is my third year using this. Previous two years worked great. This year so far has been painful to watch. Video will freeze and audio goes back about 30 seconds. Video starts again when audio catches up to where the video froze. This repeats over and over throughout the game. Really really annoying!
Every year i hope for better service and less stream interruptions... every year i am let down. I wish i could stop myself, but i love my hockey. Truly one of the biggest service disappointments out there. Almost worth paying for a full cable package to avoid the hassle.
Hands down the worst spots ap I have ever used. You have to use it for your nhl. tv subscription and it is impossible to find out what games are actually streaming. The nhl forced teams to abandon their own team aps for this piece of garbage that is difficult to navigate and has little team content. If I were not an out of market fan with few other ways to follow my team I would tell the nhl to shove it up their asses. And I pay $140 for the privilege. FU NHL
My team is the oilers. I set my favorite team as the oilers. Every day it changes my favorite team to the devils. Didn't know we were back in 1990 and you can't make an app work properly. Fix it! It's annoying!
