About this app

The evolution of Good News Transportation began in 2017 after I survived a cancer scare. In 2020, one of my younger brothers died of the same cancer. This led me on a journey to discover why, in the United States, we spend billions of dollars on research and treatment for cancer. However, some other countries have a better success rate of remission and recovery despite not being as medically advanced. I discovered that these countries equally promote a key cornerstone for better health, which is "early detection." Almost every disease that humanity faces has a better prognosis when the condition is detected early.

In January of 2022, I took an Uber to JFK airport. The driver asked me what I was doing in NYC. I explained that I had been speaking about the importance of early detection for cancer. He asked what kind of cancer, and that day it was regarding skin cancer and why very few people should ever die from it because it is so treatable when detected early. The driver then explained that his dad had recently died from a form of skin cancer. They had noticed a sore on the back of his hand 18 months earlier. His dad, being a steelworker in the city, procrastinated getting it checked until he started losing lots of weight. He said once his dad was diagnosed, it was too late. The doctor did tell the family that this was a prime example of how early detection probably would have changed the outcome.

The driver asked me, "Why don't you use Uber as a platform to get your message of early detection to the world?" I came back home, started driving for Uber, and began sharing the message "Early Detection Saves Lives." After over 4000 opportunities to share the message and with much encouragement, we have launched a private car service, Good News Transportation, that will accomplish two goals. Every time you choose Good News Transportation, you will get a safe and comfortable ride, and the proceeds will support sharing the truth, "Early Detection Saves Lives."
