Now’s your chance to discover and capture the Pokémon all around you—so get your shoes on, step outside, and explore the world. You’ll join one of three teams and battle for the prestige and ownership of Gyms with your Pokémon at your side.
Pokémon are out there, and you need to find them. As you walk around a neighborhood, your smartphone will vibrate when there’s a Pokémon nearby. Take aim and throw a Poké Ball… You’ll have to stay alert, or it might get away!
Search far and wide for Pokémon and items
Certain Pokémon appear near their native environment—look for Water-type Pokémon by lakes and oceans. Visit PokéStops, found at interesting places like museums, art installations, historical markers, and monuments, to stock up on Poké Balls and helpful items.
Catching, hatching, evolving, and more
As you level up, you’ll be able to catch more-powerful Pokémon to complete your Pokédex. You can add to your collection by hatching Pokémon Eggs based on the distances you walk. Help your Pokémon evolve by catching many of the same kind.
Take on Gym battles and defend your Gym
As your Charmander evolves to Charmeleon and then Charizard, you can battle together to defeat a Gym and assign your Pokémon to defend it against all comers.
It’s time to get moving—your real-life adventures await!

It is an amazing game. submersove and activating. my only downside to it is that it is so addicting that i rinnished it way to fast. I now have all the avaliable pokemon in the game and only have 2 gold medals left to achieve. I would love for an endgame or high level NPCs. My guesses is that they will come but later. I hope this game keeps developing to a more challenging game. as of now I am trying to build a community on facebook for high level players as a way to keep the spirit of the game up! Keep colecting stardust and candies and wait for further game development and challenges!

At first it was so much awesome..but now I'm losing interest in d game.. I hope they add some legendary pokemon in dis or add 2nd gen pokemon as soon as possible.. Otherwise many of us will stop playing dis game.. And also not everyone lives in a big city.. There r no pokestops whatsoever near the village area.. Those people can't come to the city everyday just to play pokemon go. If u add some feature so that we can make our own pokestop that will be very helpful.

Now you I can't even drive by a Pokestop to pick up pokeballs. You guys are making it hard to get pokeballs. First you start removing pokestops, then you make pokemon harder to catch, now I can't even get a pokestop even when im a passanger. Honestly thanks for some fun, but imma just have to uninstall this game, rather have free space.
The developers have steadily removed functions, and at this point unless you are walking slowly or stopped dead in place you can't do anything. The same three pokemon spawn everywhere, the catch difficulty outpaces the ball drop rate, and rural players may as well give up before they start. This could have been a great little game, but as it is, it is frustrating and getting worse by the day.

Okay, so I know that this is for all of the fake GPS devices to stop people from getting pokestops, but why when driving? Not everyone can walk around getting the pokestops. Some people were lucky enough to drive by a pokestop. Now I barely have any pokeball and I never have time to stop by a place to get the dang pokestop.

I liked it. Played it for awhile. Always had to go to a specific park to get tons of pokeballs. I've stopped playing it in the last month or two because its just out of the way to go to a specific park to stock up on pokeballs. There are hardly any Pokestops near me. When I do get a few, I waste it on a single Pokémon that I still don't end up catching. Frustrating and waste of time.

I absolutely HATE the "nearby" tracking that's tied to pokestops. Not everyone lives in a giant city with a pokestop on every block. I want to know what pokemon are near me, not what pokemon are near the three pokestops blocks away from me. You cannot call it "nearby" if it's not going to show me what's near my location. WTF Just please please please please please bring back the original footprint system or just get to the point and show exactly where all the pokemon are like those amazing third party apps that you hated so much.
I've been playing since July. It used to be fun, but every update something worse happens. Can't log in, closes for no reason, etc. Also, getting all the same Pokémon ALL the time is getting really old really quick. I can't remember the last time I saw an even slightly rare Pokémon. Do something or I'm going to quit just like 98% of my friends have.
Since latest update it can take 1 minute for game to decide to log in. The distance marker around you marks pokestops as available but they aren't or they just say "Try again later". Lastly, GPS is either heaps out or it jumps from spot ro spot even if I am not moving. Getting very disappointed in game
This game feels like a childhood dream come true that I can hunt and catch pokemon outside in the real world. Sadly, the gym and battle area of the game is really lacking and feels incomplete, and the tracking could use some work too. The hunt is what keeps me playing and I hope they can improve the gyms, combat and tracking in the future. This game is also amazing for mental health issues. If I'm feeling off I just go catch pokemon. It's very relaxing.
Hatched 20 eggs during event. No new pokemon. Just weedles and pidgeys. What's the point of playing anymore. It's cold outside, and I'm super tired of catching and hatching pidgeys and weedles. Have a pokestop right outside my home. Nothing ever spawns there. Theres 50 dollars invested into this game that was not even close to worth it.
NEEDS TRADING! Would be nice to be able to battle friends, as well as pokemon you come across while playing. This would help pokemon leveling (or combat power levels—"CP" instead of having to catch hundreds of the same type of pokemon to evolve your favorites. It would also be nice to allow players who spend hundreds of dollars on the game to switch teams only once. For example my friends all downloaded the game at a different time & we all picked different teams; this game would!D be much more compelling if you have players a one time opportunity to fix a simple mistake like picking a team. Level 5 is waaay too early to choose a team anyways, you have no idea the implications that come without such a low level.
Most recent update has destroyed functionality of game. I have an Asus Zenfone 2, and previously the game ran smoothly with little to no interruptions. With the CURRENT update, game won't even get past the loading screen. Resetting phone and un/re-installing the app has done nothing for me. If my family wasn't still playing it, I'd have permanently uninstalled the app by now because it has become literally unplayable. I will fix my review if the game gets patched back to funtionality.
App SHOULD NOT take over and stop my music when I'm playing music concurrently with opening game. App SHOULD save user settings even when logged out. Egg text is barely legible. Cyan on white is BAD, m'kay? New content needed sooner than later. Stagnation equals player attrition.
Restarts almost every time I swap to it. That shouldn't happen when using only 2 apps. Kind of addictive, I was never really a Pokemon guy. Not the team/grown up game Ingress is but good for a mindless relapse into childhood (even if you didn't follow the game as a kid, it makes you feel young). Seems to have poor longevity. Quite buggy and fussy about what device you have. I don't know why it needs to look at my contacts so I told it not to.
Why would you need an update JUST for support in a small region? That seems like a waste of an update. But besides that, I can't wait for trading. To hell for Player vs player battles, I'm STILL waiting for trading.
Glitches and errors all over the place. Gym battles are a joke, a level 24 trainer can take down a level 10 gym with level 28-37 trainer's high CP pokemon. Making gyms too easy makes this game boring to real gamers. Seems more like Pokemon No Go
The game itself is a great idea there is literally no reason to play anymore. walking miles in the freezing cold to get pokestops, catching the same old pokemon in the freezing cold, and then rotting a gym in the freezing cold only to lose it in 10 mins to a spoofer
I don't live near any pokéstops, so even when I'm a passenger in a vehicle, I can't get pokéstops unless we're holding up traffic 😂 terrible move guys, probably lost a lot of revenue form this decision. Could at least give us more balls from each pokéstop.
Warning: this app is a data hog. I used to play daily and buy from it semi-regularly, but the most recent update causes the app to absolutely guzzle data. As it being a battery hog wasn't bad enough. Canadian data rates are too high and cost too much to justify playing any more.
Whenever you tap on a pokemon to view them and then back out to the scrolling screen, it tries to make you edit their name while in the main pokemon menu. When you push cancel, it highlights the top middle pokemon and puts you into the multiple transfer screen. Very annoying and very strange.
After the initial release, the game froze, glitched, or the servers were busy. Now after its been out a month, all those things still happen but they've also removed features that made the game enjoyable. It's just awful now, don't download, if they fix any of these problems I'll change my rating.
I have been playing since day one and it's still a good game. Unfortunately Niantic really needs to get there act together and add more features that the player base has been asking for forever. Trading and player battles are a must for any Pokemon player, without it this game will surely lose players quickly.
What's the deal with nothing but 5km eggs from every poke stop? I used to 10km eggs one to two times a week. Even got 3 in a week one time. Now I can't get a 10km egg to save my life. I need to get Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee. This is impossible when I can't get 10km eggs. Please make them more available from poke stops. Or there's not much reason to continue to play and spend money.
Horrible since November's end I haven't been able to load this game 95% of the time. If it loads, my avatar stands still. Cant authenticate. Cant find GPS signal. Rebooted. Reinstalled. The game sucks now. Its impossible to play. Too bad. It used to be fun. I'll find something else to take up my phone space.
Great game but need to fix bugs before major updates. Need to add more pokestops, need to change the regional pokemon thing, keep it but have the pokemon change regions every month or so, that way people can complete the pokedex. Also need to have a increase spawn rate of Charmander as its hard to find them and there are no nests around in Australia let Wollongong. Please add these guys it's a brilliant game but needs some fixing to make it popular again. This whole business of not being able to get pokemon while driving or on public transport is terrible focus on trying to make the game better not worse. You are loosing fans and even the real pokemon lovers are not playing it. Fix game before trying to make it safer to players. Start listening to your players or you will not have any left.
It's a good game, gets you out in the world moving around, exploring, spending time with friends n family and even connect with people you don't know. Overall the game us fun it can get a repetitive but they put out events and stuff every once and a while to keep you occupied. I would say the worst part with this game not even about the game is winter here in Minnesota. It's hard to get out n find pokemon, hot trails, paths what have you when your knee deep in powder with a child lol
I have lots of fun catching Pokémon to and from work. The game features are still sparse, leaving the last ten levels an uninteresting grind. Once they get advanced features like trading and trainer battles, this game will be incredible!
If im passenger i cant get the pokestops when we're driving at speed. Why? I understand people shouldn't drive and play but why do this? It's just stupid! Shame too because i am otherwise impressed with how far along the game has come since its beginnings.
Not a Pokemon fan. Hated the game since the card game was first released. My gf wanted me to play and we got hooked. Just wish there were a few more options for rural players.
Its alright, was super fun at the start of launch and maybe 2 months after but it quickly got boring and repetitive... The holiday events were fun but offered very little long term. Still no legendary pokemon, or gen 2. Aside from the colossal failure of the addition of baby pokemon only aquired from eggs. This game has certainly lost its pazazz.. Hope the do something soon.
Was good when it first came out but we were supposed to get trading and gen2 months ago. And when they add new Pokemon u only can get from eggs.... Seriously lack effort in making the game better or adding stuff. Very dissatisfied
The tracking is pretty much useless and can only see what is near a pokestop. And as far as spoofers and cheaters go it is pointlrss to even complain as people have done multiple times in a situation in local area to yet have nothing done about it months later and losing so much interest in the game . Would like to carry on playing, but finding it hard to have reason to
Can't wait for further updates!? Still playing. I've had half of my fellow players quit over the past few months, make your fixes Niantic! This is how you make a game go bust#TeamValor
Bored with same pokemon Pidgeys, ekans, ratata...where are others pokemon? When this app was lunch, i think theres alot pokemon appear..magma, vanusaur, and now..they are gone..just a group of pidgeys and ratata..where is 2nd generation? From egg??? Maybe not because its too hard to get.
The GPS is all over the place. I can pop from where I actually am to back home, miles away & just in general my character roams pretty far from my actual position. It stops and then runs ahead to catch up, this causes me to miss poke stops & pokemon.
I love that the creators of the game let you figure out how to play the game. This game encourages exersize in order to unlock prizes. This is also a safe game including reminders not to play and drive. I hope there will be trading sooner or later and sometimes the game takes me to the wrong location. Also the game tends to lag sometimes.
I have root for the app, root call blocker I use since it's the only one that work 100%. Now I can't play Pokémon Go because I choose to not get harassed by 1800 numbers. I even paid $50 into the game and now I can't play. Either unban me or give me my $50 back if you wanna be like this. Such bad business practice. Ban cheaters who get caught, don't ban everyone just because they have root.
It's about time this finally got decent enough. I feel this is where it should have first been released. It'd be great if those dumb Nearby Pokémon gave something like a highlighted zone on the map that gives the general area instead of wandering around aimlessly.
Where we live there aren't any rare Pokémon. We live in a very small town that isnt on the map called Ridgeland, South Carolina in a small area called Old House. Here you can literally count the gyms & pokee stops on one hand. SAD! You know everyone's name here because of so few gyms . I've been to different states & cities so I've seen difference.I know what it's like to play this game. People catch them in their house , yard, etc not here. WHY? Can you fix this problem? We'd like to enjoy the game to in our house as well as walking.
