Join Trainers across the globe who are discovering Pokémon as they explore the world around them. The newest update to Pokémon GO, the global gaming sensation that has been downloaded 650 million times and named “Best Mobile Game” by The Game Developers Choice Awards and “Best App of the Year” by TechCrunch, introduced the addition of over 80 beloved Pokémon among several other new features.
Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Pikachu, and many other Pokémon have been discovered!
Now’s your chance to discover and capture the Pokémon all around you—so get your shoes on, step outside, and explore the world. You’ll join one of three teams and battle for the prestige and ownership of Gyms with your Pokémon at your side.
Pokémon are out there, and you need to find them. As you walk around a neighborhood, your smartphone will vibrate when there’s a Pokémon nearby. Take aim and throw a Poké Ball… You’ll have to stay alert, or it might get away!
Search far and wide for Pokémon and items
Certain Pokémon appear near their native environment—look for Water-type Pokémon by lakes and oceans. Visit PokéStops, found at interesting places like museums, art installations, historical markers, and monuments, to stock up on Poké Balls and helpful items.
Catching, hatching, evolving, and more
As you level up, you’ll be able to catch more-powerful Pokémon to complete your Pokédex. You can add to your collection by hatching Pokémon Eggs based on the distances you walk. Help your Pokémon evolve by catching many of the same kind. Choose a Buddy Pokémon to walk with and earn Candy that will help you make your Pokémon stronger.
Take on Gym battles and defend your Gym
As your Charmander evolves to Charmeleon and then Charizard, you can battle together to defeat a Gym and assign your Pokémon to defend it against all comers.
It’s time to get moving—your real-life adventures await!

This app has gotten better since it was first released, it doesn't crash and disconnect you from the servers at all now. It's good motivation to actually go on a walk every once in a while. One thing I like about this game is the shop system, so the people at the top of the leader boards aren't just people who pour all of their money into the game.

I would rate a five but these darn poke stops aren't working, ever. Had this game a week. All current android and game updates but the stop will spin and nothing ever drops nor do I get a count on my achievement list....and no one is responding to my email on the issue!! The only way to get special evolution items is with a 7 day straight stop count, and I can't even get one. I have an excellent service provider also so, count that out as an issue. Maybe someone will contact me here...maybe

I loved Pokemon go since the beginning but now I had to uninstall it until better progress is made. I hatched 5kilometers eggs and I got under 300cp Pokemon and none of the new ones. A wild bulbasaur cp445 appeared and I used 5 pokeballs, 5 great balls and 5 ultra balls and still didn't get it. All the gyms are level 2000 or more. Stardust is still low as usual and the gyms only give you 10 coins....

Either develop a reliable scanner that shows exactly what spawns and where (not just by poke-stops) or allow our third party scanning apps to help us hunt for mons. Most, if not all, of your players would purchase something so helpful. Your in game tracker is absolutely no help and it is frustrating your most loyal of players to the point where people are quitting. Listen to what the people want!

Over one million negatives. Congratulations. Loose balls too easily. Need to buy more because it's difficult to get free ones. Foreground app only and will not run in the background. Means that it drains battery quickly and I can't hatch eggs during my runs. And to others that rate it lower stars, like me, App developers don't care.

It was fun at first but now it's having constant issues keeping track of my location and with tracking my movement. It would be more fun if there was more MMO-like features suxh as being able to interact wirh fellow trainers so you could power up ur pokemon faster and earn coins easier. Right now it's kind of meh

When will an update include aAR support for phone that have a non gyroscope supported sensory function? So far only phones with gyroscopes have the ability to use the augmented reality, it would be nice to see more funtionality towards this. That would alsoincrease the fanbase exponentially. To see the pokemon on your camera is a base experience that only a small group of people that have these phones can use. Peoplewant it, please deliver! Otherwise, i love this game!!!
Depends on the update and event.. the grass and water events were awesome but this rock Pokemon event is kinda bs. I've only seen 2 Pokemon not registered to the Dex and the rest have been basic 1st gen Pokemon not worth wasting balls on. "Oh you could see an Aerodactyl" Stop hyping and make with the Pokemon
Great to play if you're walking, but there are only four problems I can say exist 1. The GPS signal keeps dropping on me every minute or two. 2. Because you have to actually go outside and walk great distances, children, paraplegics, and others will need someone to walk with them to watch out for them 3. Because many passengers glue themselves to their phones while driving you cant hatch your eggs. & 4. Microtransactions. Why not include a daily/weekly/monthly challenge that offers in game rewards instead?
I got Pokémon Go the second it was released in the U.K it was awesome! Very enjoyable and got thousands of kids and adults out the house. But it's lacking updates it needs something new. Player v player battling, or make the gyms harder to attack with power ups for the different teams who have taken the gym. Make players think a bit. I haven't played for roughly two months now due to not seeing any serious change in the updates.
It's really just cornhole with Pokémon. 3 months after release, I didn't find myself wanting to play the game, rather I would just play it because it was there (not like Fire Emblem Heroes, which I actually have fun with). Pokémon Sun/Moon is a better value... and they're not free to play. I opened the app a year after launch, after not playing for about 2 months, caught a Pidgey and a Spearow, then the app crashed. I lost 5% of my battery and haven't opened it since.
Not the best game when carless in the country. You run out of Pokéballs quickly with a mass stock of potions and revives. But in town with rows of Pokéstops and gyms, it's more fun. I wish it wasn't such a battery drain, even with an external battery pack my battery dies. In the hour I was walking (5/17) I went from 80% to 40%otherwise I still love this game, I'm trying hard to "catch 'em all," and can't wait for my eggs to hatch useful Pokemon.
Daily rewards from Pokéstops is great BUT when the only special item received from a 7 day streak of Pokéstops is a dragon scale? It gets irritating. Pokestops in general need to give more special items and weekly special items should be different more often. Evolving Pokemon is a big part of the game and now with the special item evolves it should not take take as long as it does to finally get 1 Kings rock or sun stone.
It's an awesome, fun game. My issue is poke stops all seem to be condensed with few points in between. My closest stop is 2 miles away. And it also doesn't help when it can't pick up your location, it jumps around, registers you as driving, and no longer counts the distance you've walked passed that point. I've lost alot of miles by not restarting the app when it does this.
Very simply: Great game, great idea does great things so I hope it doesn't ever stop, but they need to have a serious look through to find all the bugs and game problems. If they can do that, which, knowing Nintendo, they can do that, this game will be incomparable to any other mobile game out there. One bug that needs to be fixed is that there are times when I am looking for a Pokèmon by walking and then they all disappear.
I live in rural area, but I never see Pokémon. Isn't that where Pokémon are supposed to be? In the "WILD"!!!! I understand that. It is to help get people active, but what about people who live in rural areas? Are they supposed to have to move to play a game? I have been a Pokémon player since before it became an American fad. Please put more Pokémon in rural areas. I walked 2km today and not 1 Pokémon! I have friends in the urban areas that have dozens in their homes.
- still no wild Pokemons around my area which isnt fun for me at all... I've been blocked cause my phone is rooted[more likely to cheat], while other are currently playing. I've seen other users at work playing non-rooted cheat while I could hide my root but isnt that cheating? Fix or be replaced easy as that. #rootlifesmatter
The game is getting pretty boring. Speed caps suck. The buddy system is pretty cool and a lot of the bugs are now fixed and some small new features have been added. The new tracking system leaves a lot to be desired. If it launched with the current tracker no one would know better and I would give it a 5 but I can't pretend I don't know what the 3 step tracker was like.
I'm getting ticked that I can't get any of the legendaries, nor any of the regional exclusives. I've waited patiently for a long time. I downloaded this game when it came out, and haven't stopped playing since, but I need more than this, and I don't want to go to the other side of THE PLANET for that to be a reality. Even if the regional exclusives were a yearly event I'd be happy. If you even gave some indication that there'd actually be a legendary event, I'd be happy also. Please! I'm running out of patience..
From someone who grew up around Pokemon, this is definitely worth it in my opinion. I played the games, watched the cartoons, collected the stuffies and obsessed with being the very best. To see the Pokemon that I know and love in 3d is great. Even if it's only for nostalgic reasons, I recommend you at least try this game. All the best gen 1 and 2 Pokemon are in the game but I'll admit to being a little impatient for gen3 to come out. Have fun out there~♡
Would be awesome if we could trade pokemons, items with players of same team... or trade our extra potions for pokeballs (better potions for better balls) and being able to fight/train not only in gyms. Seeing our teammates on the map would add up to the fun. Npc Team rocket jumping us for a fight to gain xp and items/coins
It's a fun game. But it's impossible to play if you live in a small town. I have no Pokestops available, and it's unfair people in New York have them at the back of their hands. "But Pokemon Go is about exploring" Really? Then why don't people from the city come explore the small towns?
There is no point in battling gyms. Battle 3 times the same one and time limit ended for each because Blissey is always left in a gym and you can't make your pokemon stronger and that's because stardust is low and no strategy can be done. Why didn't they allow us to train pokemon and build move sets for them?
I like it, but there are issues. There was a big where The tracker wouldn't show how far away you were from pokemon and now it has been removed so there is no longer any way to find the pokemon on your own (as the range for finding them is too large to just hope you'll come across it). 👎
AT the beginning i love this game i was mad for it. But i have an big issue the pokestop are so far from my house round about 8 to 9 km. And you guys don't take request for new pokestop. Plz guys provide me a pokestop near my house. I love the game. But if this issue is not solve then i have to delet my a/c and i have to uninstall your game. Because not every time we get more ball to catch in one pokestop we get only 2 to 3 balls so req you to install a new pokestop near to my house. If you solve this problem them i will give you 5 star
the whole idea of it as a game is "gotta catch them all " but yet you cant do because some mons are region locked and not every one can afford to travel over seas. ! you put a daily catch limit and spinning stop limit which is stupid! 500 mons and 1000 stops! and as for rural areas they dont catch anything remotely close to drags or tyra or anything for that matter compared to city players
I used to love this game and would have given it 5 stars. But have had enough of the spoofers and people using scanners. You are losing a lv37 player who played every day for over 6hrs+, playing how the game was intended, no scanners, no cheating, walking everywhere. Hard work, persistence and determination really doesn't mean much when all it seems like is you need a desire and willingness to cheat. SORT IT OUT! Let the true players enjoy the game
Still resetting sounds and energy saver, and it is annoying. Could be better with more content too, seems limited after 10min of play. It's hard to be aware of my surroundings so much, and play well lol. It should have a sitting still mode, training, messaging and vs computer matches to learn to fight. I had know idea how to battle...12/2016 It's a much better experience. Keep up with the updates.
Hate u it says not computable I wanna play it Soo much fix it pls. When I try to play the older versions it says I have to update to continue and again it says not computable. Even the older versions work on this phone but I can't play without updating, which I already said isn't compitable. Either fix this version or make the older versions able to continue without getting the update screen.or curse u niantics if u dont fix it. AFTER NEXT UPDATE: wow now it is even worse.+1 error msg unable to authenticate
I nicknamed my eevee to get umbreon and it evolved into vaporeon. I've evolved 4 eevees and 3 of them evolved into vaporeon. This bias is annoying and makes it difficult to get all the eeveelutions. Also there's a gym in my town that for the last week I've only been able to get down to level 1 then an error constantly comes up so I can't take the gym. My phones only 3 weeks old so it's not an issue with my phone
I can't seem to find a reasonable answer from niantic for my problem. I've become handicap so when I have spare change, I'll spend 5 dollars to get a few pokeballs. They charged my card twice! And no where to easily contact them to fix a problem. Also ever since they updated the battery saver for android it turns on when my phone is upright so I can only play if my phone is upside down. Until the payment issue I absolutely loved playing.
Since the last 2 updates my phone overheats while playing. This will happen sometimes 40 minutes after playing or other times 10 minutes into the game. I can't seem to even do 2 rounds of gym fights. Thought it was my phone but other online apps and games run for hours without issue.
9/10 game, Im just having trouble with the glitches in the game, like pokeballs automatically throwing and sometimes it takes too long to load especially when a pokemon is clicked. But overall its a great game it lets you play video games while outside cause some moms out there will tell you to play outside and it will be a pleasure. A game on screen that lets you interact with the real world.
The game is great but I can't buy pokecoins from the shop. Every time I try it says authentication required you need to sign into your Google account. This makes no sense considering this only happens with Pokemon go. No other app is giving me this issue please fix this.
I uninstalled this game because it got boring really quick and especislly cs the fighting part was too bad! I just reinstalled it, put my date of birth and tried to log in with google but it just restarts the app. Is there a chance to give a second chance to this app? Or shall i just give up? I mean, can i log in where i left??
Guys seriously.... Just pay pokefind etc to create an in game tracker for you... As yours is useless. The Game is insanely boring without the ability to rush to catch a rare larvita Snorlax or Dragonite with a timer / location. Every gym is occupied with people using the latest tracker you can't beat them so join them...
Pokémon tracking is absurd - the 'nearby Pokémon' aren't actually the pokémon nearest you at all. Pokémon and pokéstops are infrequent in rural and suburban areas. Leveling grinds to an absolute halt at higher levels due to poor game design. Pokémon become much more difficult to catch and flee more frequently at higher levels. Distance traveled tracking is EXTREMELY inaccurate. Basically, the game scales horribly - the daily bonuses that were added are a step in the right direction, but too little.
Recent update totally ruined the game with the inability to utilize the GPS signal rendering the game absolutely useless. Bugs were created, not fixed yet again. Cheaters are popping up more and more and nothing is being done about it. This game is becoming by as bad as any Call of Duty game... Great job Niantic, Inc.
I love this game so much. It helps me get distracted from hardships in life. But just yesterday, Niantic screwed up my gameplay big time. I am so unhappy about it considering the timr and money i have invested into this game. I don't deserve this and I hope Niantic would get back with the complain i submitted.
Niantic, you ruined this game in many ways, but the final straw for me was making us unable to spin pokestops while in a car. It is now impossible to collect enough resources to battle in gyms or catch pokemon. As someone who lives in America and not Europe, it's impossible to spend my day walking everywhere. Also, as someone living in Florida, it is eternal summer. And some of us can't handle the heat. We must drive. Your game is now literally useless. YOU DISGUST ME. Thanks for nothing.
