The discovery of Exotic Matter (XM), a resource of unknown origin, has sparked a covert struggle between two Factions. Agents must be over 13 years old (for residents outside of the European Economic Area); or over 16 years old or such age needed to consent to the processing of personal data in the Agent's country of residence (for residents of the European Economic Area). Unfortunately, no children may play Ingress.

Ratings and reviews

Server lag still occasionally affects gameplay, but overall, much improved version of game. Took a some time, but Niantic seems to be listening at least. Anomaly play can be massively frustrating, and occasionally I need to reboot game or phone to get game to play. However, easily one of the simplest yet complex game I've played It gets me out into real world and offers insight into new locations I would never have found. Still a leader in real location, real multiplayer game design.

Huge power drain, super-laggy, massive time to load/startup. Occasionally fails to create a field, which can never be fixed unless the links are destroyed and re-created. Very often it will get stuck awaiting a 1+ minute timeout to happen. The above issues are happening more frequently over the years, there is a significant degradation in game reliability. Finally, the game is becoming significantly skewed towards players who use satellite phones. Many portals are outside cell coverage.

The game gets stuck. I am unable to hack either on wifi or cellular data much of the time. I make a point of attempting to hack a minimum of 3 times a day (an effort to gain the Sojourner badge) and I can't seem to get it to count past 14 days. So even though I'm hacking, and items look they're adding to my inventory, it's not counting the hack. I've kept my inventory level around the 1975 mark so there is plenty of space. The game is just buggy and extremely slow. I miss the old scanner.
