Works as advertised. First time - minor issue with phone refusing to connect that was solved via the Internet and turning off one setting. Why does the connection shut off randomly during long usage?
Not compatible with Note 4 The app says it's compatible but no live view. Will contact customer service and if can't resolve will return adapter.
Limited functionality Not a bad app for basic picture taking...but that's it as far as control goes. You cannot turn on/off flash, extend zoom to use optical zoom, operate video mode, multiple delete. App always active, need to go to apps and force close to end, task killerswont work.
Nikon is missing common sense settings/options I have an AW130, which saves photos as jpg which even on high quality, still means compressed. In this app there are no settings to copy over the full size image in bulk. The last thing i think your customers would want is to recompress an already compressed image. This takes away quality of the photo even further. In settings for the app you list "VGA" or "Recommended." Both option reduce quality. If you add pictures one by one you have to select original size for each one. Not ideal.
Seriously lacking in features The quality of the associated app is a factor that determines whether I will buy your cameras. I tried this with an S7000 in the shop. Loved the s7000, but this app is awful so I shall not be buying. It does not even support selective deletion of photos from the camera!! You have to download the lot, and then delete knce on your phone. Also it looks terrible on a tablet, and the controls for taking a photo are limited to a shutter button and zoom. Get some decent developers in, its 2015, not 2000!
Constantly disconnects. D7100. I've bought this adapter more than a year ago. After some time, the connection started dropping to the point where you cannot download at all! The issue was reported by many users with different cameras. There are some, unofficial, workarounds on the web that only with partially. Nikon themselves seem to simply ignore it. Spending money on equipment that works for several months only is a poor customer experience, to say the least. Not the support I'd expect from Nikon!
-The app now supports the Nikon 1 J5.
-The app now supports brightness adjustment via live image control on the Nikon 1 J5.
