Review from Dmitriy Bolotin
Needs more options and exit
Love the app but... My only issue is the closure of it, app doesn't shut down or have an option to close and continues to run in the background draining phone battery... manual force stop is my only option on S5. Otherwise, I love this app!
could be better this app has all the basic features and i'm glad i could transfer photos but it could be better. for instance... + the app won't close after i disconnect from the camera; i need to go to settings and force quit every time + takes FOREVER to sync and more often than not fails + after you finally and luckily sync the data, it takes forever to download and more often than not fails i sincerely hope it updates and improves!! nikon needs to get it together. i'm transferring between D3200 and Nexus 6.
Does not work Using an s5. It connected a couple times but it is a challenge. Competitor camera apps switch to the camera wifi on open, but this one needs you to switch, then if there is another wifi connection with internet, your phone will drop connection, so you are done. The features sound great but it simply doesn't work usually, you will probably need to look at a A different brand camera until they sort this out. I have been a Nikon supporter for many years, but they clearly need to make a working app for phones.
Limited functionality This could be so good. It is definitely useful to be able to see and take photos remotely, but I wish I could control even just aperture and shutter speed with this app - not being able to is a bit like having my hands tied behind my back when taking photos! Also it keeps losing wi-fi connection. Come on Nikon!
Does not work! My phone will not stay connected for longer than 30 seconds. Not even long enough to transfer a single photo! In addition to that, the app must be force killed every time or it will remain running until your batteries are dead. Do yourself a favor and return the wireless receiver. I was told that Nikon produces quality products. I will buy Canon in the future.
Would prefer to have more features on a Pro-sumer level Full frame Camera (D750) than just live view, image transfer, and remote trigger. Extra features requested: - Intervelometer (set how many pictures to take or how often and for how long) - Allow easier transfer of wifi connection between multiple devices. - Easier app shut-off. App doesn't close fully even when "Exiting" the app.
-The app now supports the Nikon 1 J5.
-The app now supports brightness adjustment via live image control on the Nikon 1 J5.
DSLR Remote Control for your camera, remote trigger, shutter release, live view
