This is a great addition to the seris. You can do lots of fun stuff. I found myself playing this more than new Leaf or happy home designer. It is more convenient that it is on my phone than on a 3ds xl or a wii. The portability is great. The only thing I would change is that it can also be played offline too because I live in an area that cell serves is not the greatest and wifi is not an option. So please Nintendo please make an offline mode...
Was really excited about this game as I loved the Wii version. However one of my favourite things to do on the wii was to collect all the bugs, fish and fossils to fill my catalogue and museum. After playing this game I found that these features have been wiped and there are very few fish and bugs to actually catch (per season probably) with no record of what you have left to find. The discreet locations on the map gives a much more constricted feel to the game however for a mobile version this game has great potential.
The gameplay and graphics are very cute. Not as versatile as the Nintendo console Animal Crossing but that's to be expected if you're playing it free from the Google Playstore. You visit different places by campervan instead of walking there, I don't mind that. I like fulfilling requests for the animals, collecting and crafting the furniture. There doesn't seem to be much variety in the collectibles as I play the first few moments of the game but I look forward to seeing what else is in store
The controls and graphics work very beautifully. Even the connection works on my phone, and isn't glitchy like I had expected it to be. However, it does have a downside. I hope this isn't the direction where the Animal Crossing games are going to. It is fun and all, but it didn't feel like Animal Crossing. New Leaf was very different and more complex, yet it still kept that feel to it. This feels more like a task situation... I appreciate it being on my handheld device, but it kinda lost some of it's special touch.
It's just another amazing installment of ANIMAL Crossing. Basically a love letter to the fans...it's got everything we love from previous editions plus the controls.are more intuitive. The only slight problem.I have, is that you cannot go to a specific friend's camp. You have to meet up with random people you find wandering on the different parts of the map. I guess it broadens your reach of friends this way, but when you plan on trying to have a party of people...it's still.a great game no matter what. Great Job Nintendo.
Had server issues this morning due to so many people trying to play, but that was expected. The game itself is fantastic, as expected from Nintendo and from this beloved franchise. I am impatiently awaiting for an announcement for the switch release! This is an app worth downloading and is very good for stress relieving. It is a go-with-the-flow game that long time fans of the franchise will enjoy regardless of it's different style of gameplay, and it is a game that will garner new fans. Welcome, enjoy your stay at the camp, and pray to God Nintendo announces a switch release before the end of the year!
Download made available.
