You cant die like the original. It runs and jumps over enemies for you and all you do is tap the screen to jump (even though it already jumps for you). Its too easy and easy mode isnt even turned on. You get to play four levels out of 30 then you must pay $10 to keep playing. I wouldnt spend an hour of my hard earned money for such a simple game. Make it more complex and maybe people would be willing to pay for it
I can't give this game a bad rating because of how fun it was while it lasted. While it may be different from what people were used to from Mario games, it is the best gameplay that could have been done on a smartphone. The fact that you can play with one hand is the proof. Also, I don't mind paying for the full game. Nintendo has the right to make money! After a week or two, I could not start the game because of some error (804-5100) and it still persists. I am using a ZTE Axon 7 with Android 7.1.1. I read that the error is associated to rooted phones and mine is not. I am not the only one with this issue. I will definitely lower my rating if it isn't fixed. Edit: not fixed after recent update.
Frustrating when you get a coin rush and the game pauses for a split second and throws off your timing. Also very dumb in rally that oppenent appears to be in a different variation of that level making it impossible to win some runs (watch the ghost level and you will see your opponent enter a different door than you have too) should be exact same layout to make it even.
Its a fun game but sometimes the controls can be really tricky if you don't hit them just right. The one thing I don't like is how far can this game possibly go? Once you save the princess, only the rally's are left and when you unlock all items, then what? Other than that, very fun,but challenging game
I have not purchased the full version of the game (yet). Only 4 levels are available for free but there are 3 challenges for each with progressively more difficult coins to grab in different locations and there are many variations of each course in toad rally. Overall there is probably an hour or two worth of gameplay available for free even for casual players and more to be had if you're a bit competitive and want to try Toad Rally or of you want to support the developer with a laughably small $10 purchase. Other games offer much less content for much more money through micro transactions and they dominate the play store with 4-5 star reviews. Please don't listen to the reviews from people who are ruining gaming by supporting games with micro transactions and complaining about having to pay for a substantial amount of content. Play it. Buy it. Rate it fairly and keep in mind this is less than you spend on a movie ticket.
This game, if I can wven call it that, is a fail on Nintendo's part. There are only four levels, and you have to pay 10$ to unlock the rest! The game is easy, even with easy mode turned off. The only times I have actually died in the game, were during an online baytle.
Implemented bug fixes.
