You can stay up-to-date with the latest news on Nintendo games, events, and more!

■ Receive notifications about sales
You can turn on push notifications for when items on your Wish List go on sale.

■ Review your play activity
You can sign in with your Nintendo Account to see your Nintendo Switch 2 / Nintendo Switch play activity. If you had a Nintendo 3DS™ or Wii U™ system, you can see your play activity logged prior to February 2020.

Note: To view your Nintendo 3DS and Wii U play activity, you'll need to link your Nintendo Network ID (NNID) to your Nintendo Account.

■ Check in at events
You can use the app to check in at official Nintendo stores and events and earn related rewards! Your check-in activity will also be accessible within the app.

Ratings and reviews

Nintendo, this is literally the first time I've been able to look at my total cumulative Nintendo Switch playtimes, and that is a huge deal to me. I can finally see how much I've actually played since I own multiple Nintendo Switch, and I was never able to see true cumulative playtime added together, and this just made my day. I can finally play on whichever switch I want without worrying about my total playtime being affected on the others. The store and wishlist are icing on an amazing cake!

It's nice that this app gives notifications when something on my wishlist goes on sale, and that I can filter my wishlist to only show games that are on sale (a feature inexplicably lacking on the Switch eShop), but those are really the only things that make this app semi-useful. Especially since you can't even use this store app to buy anything. It just sends you over to your browser of choice. So if I want to buy something, I won't even bother opening the Nintendo Store app.

I'm glad you can access the store through an app and not just through the browser, but the amount of shovelware and straight up porn you have to scroll through to try and find actual games is insane. The switch 2 console eshop seems to filter it out to some extent, but the slop is still very much alive and well in this app version of the eshop.
