Needs update and more content The app and the system in my Nissan worked well with my Galaxy S4, but since I have upgraded my phone to a S7 not so much anymore. Unless Nissan updates the system to support newer model phones the system will be redundant soon. Galaxy S7 have been around for almost nine months now but are still not supported. Luckily general Bluetooth audio streaming and calls work without using this app. Very limited number of apps in Australia.
Handy gadget After a bit of messing around the app works well with my 15 plate Nissan Juke. I like that the Twitter app reads out posts. I like the search engine and the voice feature is good. I like the send to car bit as it's easy and straight forward. I have knocked a star off as the Facebook app lets it down as it's really limited and you can only see events or check in. Would be nice to read or post to my timeline.
I support concept, but not effectiveness Barring mastery if "app" partnerships, I think availability of other streaming services is well deserved. Integration w/ Spotify would be great. Alternatively, creating a controlled stage/sandbox for users to customize their driving experience would be great. NissanConnect is only good for that random person who relies on both iHearRadio and Pandora and TripAdvisor (while I'm driving?)
Dose not work with Samsung s7 2016 brand new Rouge, and Samsung S7 edge you think everything will be great! When i bought my vehicle they asked me what kind of phone I had, oh no problem said the sales men, you are good. App started having issues the next day. When back to deal who kept it for a week and did a complete system update and contacted Nissan corporate. According to Nissan thier app is currently limited and doesn't work on all phones, buyer beware. Please wait a year or so for updates to car software. Seriously!
Not updated in over a year So much for the additional apps that were coming soon. The app hasn't seen an update in over a year. Application saw support for about two months after release. Connectivity is very spotty, connecting about 1 in 10 times. This is with a Galaxy S6 edge, then an S7 edge and now a Pixel XL. Wife's iPhone 6 plus and 7 plus would rarely work either. Bluetooth works perfectly fine in the car for everything else but the app. Applications work decently well in the car screen when it does actually connect. Rogue SL
Does not connect I bought a 2014 Sentra in December 2014. My phone was an LG G3 at the time. The app worked with no problems. I then upgraded to the LG G4 & the app also worked well with that phone even though the Nissan Connect website said the phone wasn't one of the approved ones. The Sentra was totaled in an accident in Dec so I got a 2015 Altima in Jan. The app doesn't connect at all now. Why promote something we can't utilize? I pay good $$ for that car.
