Handy gadget After a bit of messing around the app works well with my 15 plate Nissan Juke. I like that the Twitter app reads out posts. I like the search engine and the voice feature is good. I like the send to car bit as it's easy and straight forward. I have knocked a star off as the Facebook app lets it down as it's really limited and you can only see events or check in. Would be nice to read or post to my timeline.
I support concept, but not effectiveness Barring mastery if "app" partnerships, I think availability of other streaming services is well deserved. Integration w/ Spotify would be great. Alternatively, creating a controlled stage/sandbox for users to customize their driving experience would be great. NissanConnect is only good for that random person who relies on both iHearRadio and Pandora and TripAdvisor (while I'm driving?)
Does not connect I bought a 2014 Sentra in December 2014. My phone was an LG G3 at the time. The app worked with no problems. I then upgraded to the LG G4 & the app also worked well with that phone even though the Nissan Connect website said the phone wasn't one of the approved ones. The Sentra was totaled in an accident in Dec so I got a 2015 Altima in Jan. The app doesn't connect at all now. Why promote something we can't utilize? I pay good $$ for that car.
If it worked Great app if it worked. I own a 2015 Altima S that i purchased 4 months ago brand new. The app worked for me for two weeks then although im connected and the app is running, says im disconnected. Better fix Nissan, before you lose a lot more loyal customers like this one.
Need Waze! I had issues registering my vin on the app for my 2016 Nissan Rogue. Went on my computer, still unable to add. Called customer support and they fixed it quickly (on hold 15 minutes before someone came on to assist). He advised me to log out if the app and back in, which made it sync with no issues. Looking forward to more apps catching on and creating automobile versions, namely WAZE.
Few apps I don't have the issues some obviously do, mine works and it's fairly useful. Google Search, trip advisor are OK, Eurosport is poor tbh. Haven't installed twitter or facebook. How about some more useful apps? Live traffic e.g. waze, tomtom. A weather app with radar and warnings would be cool. A decent news & sport app wouldn't go amiss either. A bit more effort from Nissan , if you can't be arsed let us install Android car!
