Review from A Google User
Worth every penny. Great app, THE app that enabled me to use my Droid for work. They require a PIN and with Touchdown it is only required when I access email not my phone. That alone is worth the price. Plus I have been using it for three years and am on my second phone. It's great, it gets regular updates, and it makes sense if you use your phone to sync with Exchange.
calendar doesn't sync properly today i missed a meeting because it didn't show up on the app. i contacted the team about this way back last year, but it hasn't been resolved.
Old emails Im only able to view emails that are max 1 week old. Anything beyond that will not be shown. Is there anyway to rectify this? Thats not how mobility works.
Unable to Sync Email I used to love this app but about 2 weeks after buying it (after the trial period) I started getting Syncing and Push Suspended Errors. I tried everything to find a fix to no avail. Now it is a useless $20 app. :(
Battery hog Gotta be one of the ugliest ui apps.
Still worst interface The interface was always very bad. They changed it and now its just bad. They apparently have never hired a user interface expert. The current ui is still designed by a developer (the pin entry screen is just funny to see, it shouts 'done by the IT guy in his spare time' ) . Completly non-logical interface. This app needs a redesign from scratch. I just use it because its the only exchange app that has the mandatory pin code on app level and not android level.
Unacceptable! Android got rid of the physical menu button years ago yet Touchdown still expects it. Also, this app creates hundreds and hundreds of subdirectories in which it stores attachments and images from emails, but the developers are too dumb to flag the folders .nomedia. So i have thousands of email images, many of which are logos in email signatures clogging up my photo gallery. Thanks! This is unacceptable!
