Unrielable, DELVES SETTINGS AFTER EACH UPGRADE Aug 31, 2016. It sucks!! Every time the upgrade is installed, it deletes all mail settings and need to recreate entire accoynt. REALLY!??? >> original review: For the 3rd time TD lost all linked contacts and now Android can't see any contacts even though the option is selected. Had enough! Also the UI is years behind.
STUPID NORTON, I switched to NINE... WTF NORTON? Why did you have to touch it? Put it back! Leave it alone! FIX IT! WE PAID FOR IT! I think Norton wanted that extra permission to obtain information about the apps on your phone. It's not about making it better! Have they responded to ANY of the comments? NO! Does it look like they care? NO! To hell with them! 9/13/16 - Tired of it! YOU SUCK! UNINSTALLED!
I am uninstalling! I have used this app for several years. Since Symantec took over this app has gone to $#!+. Most of the time I have to kill the app and restart it just to get it to open. Calendar invites now show the year as 1969. Sending messages are hit and miss. I can not search my emails. I have even tried searching for the most recent email received and it still shows nothing. I can not pull up my contacts. It has become perfectly useless!
I feel ripped off!! I used this app for years without issue. The latest versions have gotten worse and worse. It frequently locks up forcing me to reboot my phone. I expect much more from an app that cost $20. I wish I could get a refund.
This app used to be good Touchdown used to be the standard for corporate email on mobile devices. I was a big advocate. Then they tried updating their UI to look like Gmail, and now Touchdown is mostly garbage. Issues include not being able to remove email recipients (unless the recipient is the last one listed), it doesn't remember the last email you opened, so when you go back to the Inbox view, who knows where you end up. So many usability issues! A real shame.
One thing this does well... ... is make the decision for you to switch to another email app. I used touchdown for many years, but no more! The old version was ugly but usable; this new version is both ugly and unusable. I suggest everyone switch to Nine, it is WAY better, and allows all the customization I can think of
- Incorporated feedback from our users (themes, copy contacts, rich calendar views, real estate optimization, and more)
- Fixed defects reported by our users
- Application update is now available to all devices running android 4.2.2 and above
- If you are using TouchDown HD on Samsung devices, we recommend updating Android Web View (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.webview&hl=en) which we've identified to be a main cause of frequent TouchDown HD crashes
