Absolutely the worst app on my phone, but I have no choice but to use it. Horrible interface, doesn't sync with the android email app, and cost $20 just to add an email signature! The worst part is the search function is completely broken. It takes forever to search, while I can see the emails I need under the "searching" loading screen. Then, after 10 minutes, it says "no emails found." unless your job requires you to download this app to secure your emails, stay far, far away from it. It is a daily cause of stress and frustration for me as my job requires me to send and read emails all day long.
This app is awesome. The only things that would make it 5 stars for me would be if they would allow more than one account to be monitored at a time. Every other mail app software does it. Also see more than 1 calender. Then I wouldn't need to use more than 1 mail app.
PROS: An even better GUI, Excellent Customer Support! Great Office365 E3 Outlook connectivity, critical to my business. Touchdown Tech Support is responsive, informed, and effective. The feature set and options are a 'Must Try' if you are looking for a great Android Outlook interface. The newer 'Touchdown HD' is a solid GUI improvement, and, if Touchdown VENUS is "HD with improvements", I think we're go. CONS: It can be a little slow. The meeting times can be an hour off during the 2 weeks a year, when there is a Daylight Savings Time. My biggest complaint is that this is the 2nd or 3rd year of this problem. Overall, very nice.
I have used this app for a few years and the app itself works pretty well. The main problem is with the orange interface since Symantec bought the software. The themes are just ridiculous and the orange color is a bad choice of epic proportions. It is especially bad on text screens to reply pop up and you can't read the text because of the orange color. Update: finally gave up and uninstalled it and switched to a different app.
Used to be THE mail client to have... Not so much anymore. Like everyone else I agree that the app was great until Symantec got ahold of it. Stability issues, lost features, poor UI choices, poor searching, copy and paste issues. Inability to inspect link destinations is dangerous and makes it harder to identify malicious emails or phishing attempts.
Works OK for basic email. Horrendous search takes several minutes to return results, if it doesn't just lock up your phone entirely. Forced to use this for work, it often crashes, and locks up my screen in the process. Staying on top of emails while traveling for work is tough enough without having to fight with your email app constantly.
- Minor code enhancements and other bug fixes.
