Touchdown Nitro desk calendar issues I've been using touchdown Pro for over three years and it was great but since the last update in November of 2014 the calendar view is too small to read. Thouchdown/Nitrodesk doesn't seem to care or resolve the issue. DO NOT GET THIS APP UNTIL THEY FIX THE CALENDAR ISSUE!!
Nice, easy to use app. It works and syncs fine in XPERIA ARC S with ICS. The only disadvantage is the very large widget (needs a total screen itself). This App is the only solution I found for ICS - XPERIA ARC S bug (Battery and data consumption bug in corporate accounts sync)
This app works and but really doesn't look very nice and certainly doesn't follow the user interface guidelines for Android. In its favor it is technically very solid and it does do s/mime encryption. However it doesn't use the native Android contacts and calendar containers which is always frustrating. I also tried Outlook from Microsoft for Android smartphones but it also didn't use the native android contacts and calendar containers. I finally have decided to use Nine. I like it a lot better and give Nine five stars.
$20 for an email client with fewer features than the native Android app For the past several years, NitroDesk's Touchdown has been touted as the de facto client to deliver true, enterprise-grade Outlook on the smartphone; and, on the strength of that reputation, have charged one of the highest premiums of any app: $20 per user. Sadly, Touchdown is very much a 'last-gen' application: It doesn't integrate with Google Calendar; so, its data isn't available for Google Plus 'cards' or alerts...and, you can't view appointments/tasks in a unified calendar widget. There is no rich-text editor, which means you can neither customize the text in your messages, nor create a customized signature. Touchdown's 'workaround' is for users to create a signature, using HTML code. Its safe to say that the vast majority of smartphone users don't know how to do this, and lack the time to learn how. My GS3's native client syncs w/Exchange and offers both function sets...for free. Bottom line: Touchdown has a few more configuration options than other clients, but lacks integration with Google Plus/ unified calendars and has no text editing...all of which are available in apps that are free, or 1/4th the price.
Excellent but room for improvement Best email program for business. Works very well with Office 365. I would like to see more calendar widgets and/or fully customizable widgets. Unread email widget is nice but it would be nice if you could set it to go to the main touchdown or something else. Calendar needs more views as well. Month view showing meetings is key - I don't like having to select a day to see what I have scheduled. Room for improvement but a great app!
After update no sync of attachments! I find this a very big rip off. I am not able to sync attachments. I payed 13 pounds for this app. It is a lot of money for an app. I expect for that amount of money to have issues like that resolved asp. Still there are tons of people complaining about this nothing has been done. The issue is not on people's exchange since my mail + app works fine on iPhone and nothing has been changed on the exchange it was after the upgrade after it stopped working!!!!!! PLEASE SORT IT OUT
