I love the concept. It's unique, which is unusual in today's mobile game market. The fast paced play-and-die system is very fun. My only issue is the controls. I have no idea what the ideal setup is, unfortunately, but I could not find a single control system that I really enjoyed. It'll be a steep learning curve, but a fun one!
The gameplay is very fun. It reminds me of some of the older Zelda games as the dungeons are somewhat designed like this. I also really enjoy the characters in the game as they all play very differently. The only problem I have is the controls at times seem to move me in the wrong direction. I know this is mostly user error but I would like if you could have maybe the dpad in the middle of the screen like the arrow keys. Once again great game and I hope you continue to make new characters and traps.
This game is the perfect mobile game. The gameplay is so simple yet effective and challenging. The different playstyles the various characters provide are all fun and very different. Games are quick, controls are tight, graphics great, and it has that magic sauce that kept me playing it the whole time on a 14h bus ride.
Great game. It's simple yet challenging. Like, REALLY challenging. You've got to think fast and act fast, but not be reckless as it could quite literally lead to your death. I like the fact that each character has different advantages, it gives the game a little more strategic touch to it allowing you to play around a bit to see which character fits your playstyle most and it also gives them an actual purpose other than looking pretty(!) or simply being some sort of collection item that costs way too much money for something that basically is DLC, which seems to be the case with most mobile games nowadays... The graphics are nice. I love modern games with pixels; games like The Binding of Isaac, Spelunky, etc. They feel nostalgic and somehow familiar yet new and refreshing. Well, those were the pros. My only con are the controls. They're not bad, just.. how do I say it? The swipe one doesn't really work for me, D-Pad one is fine, but I'm playing on my phone and it's obviously designed for tablets because it's kind of difficult to use on my tiny screen. I'm using the arrow controls and again, they're fine but sometimes I feel like they're just not quite where I want them to. It would be nice to have a feature in which we could be able to change the position of the arrow keys. Anyway, conclusion, 9.5/10 would recommend!
Great endless game. It's at a crossroads between a rogue-like and an endless runner, all perfectly garnished with top notch pixel art graphics. Mind you, it's a very grindy game! But in the end the character diversity is worth the effort and it feels good to try them all until you find one that suits your playstyle. Sometimes you'll feel like the controls (I use the swipe) are plotting against you and although at times I too believe that to be true, you can tweak them yourself and find the best ones for you (I suggest turning off the "Tap to step" functionality, which turns moments of indecision into inevitable deaths). In the end I've spent many hours on this game and I believe I'm going to spend many more if the developers keep pushing out updates on a semi-regular basis.
The number of traps as you move along is pretty interesting. Once you think you've gotten used to it something else pops up in a different configuration and you have to rethink things. It's simple but clever. :) I think it would be nice if buying the coin doubler removed ads, instead of making them two separate purchases...
