Awesome app. But latest version removed a decimal of precision in measurements. CIELAB values used to be reported as XX.XX but now only show XX.X which is a shame, because the device still measures with high precision, but the app won't display it. You can see two digits of precision in screenshots, but when you install, it is only one digit. I realize that when you export the data, the precision is there. But exporting takes time and for fast usage, that is impractical. Will be 5 stars when precision is restored.
Good app...bt often crashes....fix it...
Note: review specific to paint matching. Okay first off this is an awesome app that functions just like it's supposed to. We just got one at work(at a paint store) and I've had a couple of dark colors that this has saved me hours trying to match by eye. It does seem to have trouble with off whites, and greens(our $6k electronic eye has a hard time with green as well) but I've found matches for red colors that are awesome. For a home owner or professional trying to get a quick color reference this tool is perfect but I'd still get a color card to double check before buying paint based on Nix's scan.
Amazing tool As a graphic designer I need to color match often. This throws out the lengthy processes of color matching. Forget color chips, color books, color systems, this is where it's at. Now half the battle is taken care of by the Nix color sensor. Now to match the printers pesky profiles. (Print pros know what I mean)
Import recent scans Can not import my backup of recent scans.
It works great. Does anyone knows if this will also works with android emulator on PC?
- Update to allow the importing of color libraries in *.nix file format
- Minor updates to bundled color libraries
