Best of all All said, the best backgammon app I've seen. Wondering though why sometimes there's no one online to play? Surely must be enough folks globally playing it to ensure a game every time you login in? Cheers, brilliant app!
Best I have tried At first, I thought no way, the more I played, I learned from the computer, now I can actually Win a match. The hints aren't always the best way to go. I get bumped too often. They have helped me learn to be a better player. I am very new to the game. I would buy this for my tablet if it is available.
Good Humored AI This is the best...and I've tried most of the rest. Sometimes it seems like the AI is toying with me...too many doubles, and then I beat him and double out. Thanks Jimmy ! And i think your rolls are good "random" quality...I've been in actual games that went in similar directions.
Terrible app There is no randomness on the dice role at expert level. I played a bunch of matches and the computer would get 5x the doubles than me. Expert does not mean that the computer should get all the right rolls. If you read the instructions, the dice roll for the computer is predetermined before the game even starts. How is that backgammon? Backgammon is based on each unique roll not a predetermined sequence of rolls. 7.99 for a fake backgammon game. So want my money back.
Most Like GNU-BG I was skeptical at first given the high price with no way to really test things out, but I gave this a try and boy am I glad I did. This is an exceptional BG game and is the closest to the PC version of the highly acclaimed GNU-BG engine. It's not the prettiest BG out there, but it's good enough and extremely responsive and flexible. The only thing I'd like to see is a GNU-BG-like Help option to see all the possible moves and their percentages to help better us as players. Great job!
Best Backgammon App I've Played I'm amending an earlier review... When I first started playing this app it seemed the dice roll function was somewhat less than realistic in its randomness. I have played it for a few weeks now and without doubt it requires an improvement in this regard. Dice are not easy to simulate, and I think this app does not simulate dice well.
