The Fire Drop is a solid temperature and humidity logger, and as a firefighter it is especially useful for spotting trends in RH. The Link app is pretty basic. It would be considerably more useful for wildland firefighters if it had built-in calculations for PIG (probability of ignition) and FDFM (fine dead fuel moisture). The phone (with the Kestrel device) has all the necessary data except for aspect and shading. Also the connect time seems delayed at times, not sure if this is fixable.

Good, app but could have improvements. I wish the units could be selected individually like they can in the ballistics version. I prefer most units in imperial but some are nice to read in metric. But overall, it does what it needs to and does it well.

Dashboard display is much too large to fit screen and is unuseable. This was not always a problem as it worked fine when originally installed two years ago. There is no way to adjust the font or screen size.

Sorry for this. We are actually working on a much improved version of the application which should be available early next year.
