About this app

NoCo NOSH is Northern Colorado's exciting new way to order food from a great selection of local restaurants. NoCo NOSH is owned by Northern Colorado restaurants and its mission is to support independent local restaurants, provide second-to-none customer service, and keep the Northern Colorado economy strong by keeping community dollars in the community. NoCo NOSH, local restaurants for local eaters!

NoCo NOSH offers the best of local independent restaurants in the NoCo region. You'll find a great selection of cuisines and the most iconic restaurant in town, that is, the "cool kids"! NoCo NOSH is owned and operated by 40+ local restaurant owners who came together to offer an alternative to the national for-profit food delivery companies that dominate the market. At NoCo NOSH, we strive to:

Most consumers do not know, but food delivery is very expensive to restaurants. Margins in the restaurant industry are very thin, and the commission rates national delivery companies charge is much higher than most independents' profit margins. In places like New York city, third-party food delivery has put many small restaurants out of business. We love our NoCo restaurants, and we want them to thrive so they can continue to offer great food and service to our community. For that reason, we keep commission rates charged to restaurants as low as possible.

Food delivery is a complex and challenging logistics system. There are many pieces to the puzzle, and they all must perfectly attach to one another. At NoCo NOSH, we know that even when we strive to give customers the best possible delivery experience, mistakes will eventually be made. For us, it's all about making it right, and if we make a mistake, bending backwards to then make it right. We respect our customers, and as restaurant owners, we want them to be as satisfied with delivery as they are when they come into one of our restaurants.

Large national third-party food delivery companies have made millions of dollars by exploring the dining market in communities around the country. Most of this money goes back to the companies' headquarters and the pockets of the venture capitalists who funded them. At NoCo NOSH, we believe in supporting local restaurants by returning control to food delivery back to them, and by keeping NoCo dollars in NoCo.

Okay, so I will say the app does need some more work. It runs a little slower than I like, and the UI definitely looks dated (probably because its compatible with REALLY old devices) Honestly tho, it works, in my experience is cheaper than door dash, or at least competitive with it, same with grubhub. If you can, I recommend the Web UI over the app, but hey, it doesnt crash every 5 seconds, which is better than i can say for postmates.

the app never works right. it is hit or miss if the order goes through. also the estimated time for pick up is horrible saying hours away. then when you try to choose a time later in the day to be proactive it states you cant make an order for 3 days later. Doesn't help local restaurants but also in Fort Collins that is the only option for some restaurants. managers try to give coupons to compensate but that is only for first order.

The app is good, but the people behind this project are even better. Customer service is incredibly friendly and helpful (the error was mine in that I didn't see the text stating that the restaurant I had ordered from uses their own drivers, therefore NoCo Nosh couldn't track the status), the drivers are great, and the project is supporting local businesses and the Food Bank. Keep up the good work!
