Can anyone help? Sometimes it works well, other times it gets stuck and doesn't react as I point it in different directions. GPS is on, and I can't figure out what other settings should be enabled. Location is on on the phone too.... Any suggestions very gratefully received. My phone is a Motorola running Android
I'm VERY disappointed.. I have the pc app and that version is FAR superior. I can't calibrate the app.. so when I'm facing south, the app says I'm facing north. When I focus on an object and try to zoom in the app crashes. When ever I open the app it fast forwards to the night EVERY TIME.. Even though it 10:44 am right now. I'm very dissapointed. Even though sky map sucks.. right now it's an easier and more accurate app. Please fix because I want to stay with stellarium (based on how good the pc version is).
I feel like the information and graphics are decent. However, in terms of gps/accelerometer, I have no luck with it matching my actual direction. I'm on a Galaxy s6 edge, Android 7. All location services on. No matter which way I'm pointed, it always says East. Basically, only useful if I turn those features off and manually point it for info/time.
Wonderful! Not sure why people have problems, it's perfect. Taking it into the field without needing a laptop is a huge help, and the nighttime mode is great. So much easier to use and better than most other star apps! Absolutely love it.
It is awesome as a sky map. As far as real time tool, the accelerometer has issues sometimes as it randomly locks the x axis. Seems like an app glitch that can be very annoying when it occurs.
I have used stellarium for many years on my PC(Linux). S till as good as ever with the android app. Easy to use and I do not recall having any problems with this programme.
