PERFECT Sometimes you have to pay for perfection. Worth it to me. I use it to be alerted to server status updates from my web site's hosting company rss feed. Now my phone warns me of server downtime. The audio notification works perfectly remaining silent until a new item is in the feed. It just alerted me to important news from my site hosting company about a server being taken offline for emergency maintenance. No more am I caught off guard trying to figure out what is going on. 10 stars.
Autoplay of YouTube ruins an otherwise very good RSS reader Update 7/20/16. Pop-up ads continue even with You-Tube disabled. Nothing from tech support, blog is silent on the issue. Drop another star. 7/16 - I am a long time user of gReader Pro who is now looking for a replacement. I have tried several other apps and none of them seen to have the Autoplay issue. I still like the gReader interface so hopefully this will be fixed. Until then I would rate gReader's usability as poor.
Great interface and usability. I bought the pro version. A month or so ago everything stopped. Nothing syncs anymore. Uninstalled, cleared the cache, etc. It just doesn't work. Not on my phone, not on my tablet. Come to think of it, that's the core of the application's functionality. Both the phone and the tablet have version "4.3.1_pro". I can send you the prefs file, or any logs if that's possible to enable in the application, should that help you diagnose the issue. Please fix it.
Currently broken Used this for a few months, worked really well so I bought the paid version. All good. One update comes in and links don't work in half the cached versions of the app. That's fine. I can just load the Web version. A couple months later another update comes out and literally 28/29 feeds I have running don't synchronize at all anymore. Please just revert to the previous version. Judging from all recent reviews, I'm not remotely alone in having this problem.
Great rss reader! Had issues with the thumbnails in v4.2 but they seem to be fixed in the latest version. A couple feature requests: 1) incognito mode when opening articles using a browser, 2) pinch out an image to zoom in. Notwithstanding, it's a great app.
Would it be possible to include an option to change the toolbar color while on a dark theme? For example, I would have the "dark" theme with a green toolbar. Also, Chrome Custom Tabs is not working to my liking. I'd like for the article to immediately load in a CCT, not load in the internal browser then having to press the Chrome icon to open the link in a CCT.
* 3D Touch for thumbnails (long tap on thumbnails to show them immediately, release will close it)
* Chrom Custom Tabs (Settings-Reading Preferences-Article Controls-In-App Browser)
* Improved article view (Prevent duplicate images, Gif issues)
* Improved list item swiping
* Added custom tabs
* Added LG multi windows
* Fixed blank screen
* Fixed display widget thumbnails
