Autoplay of YouTube ruins an otherwise very good RSS reader Update 7/20/16. Pop-up ads continue even with You-Tube disabled. Nothing from tech support, blog is silent on the issue. Drop another star. 7/16 - I am a long time user of gReader Pro who is now looking for a replacement. I have tried several other apps and none of them seen to have the Autoplay issue. I still like the gReader interface so hopefully this will be fixed. Until then I would rate gReader's usability as poor.
PERFECT Sometimes you have to pay for perfection. Worth it to me. I use it to be alerted to server status updates from my web site's hosting company rss feed. Now my phone warns me of server downtime. The audio notification works perfectly remaining silent until a new item is in the feed. It just alerted me to important news from my site hosting company about a server being taken offline for emergency maintenance. No more am I caught off guard trying to figure out what is going on. 10 stars.
I used to love this app but now it doesn't work anymore. This app no longer supports the Google OAuth so it can no longer log into anyone with a google account. Its been likethat this for months now, and haven't been able to get a response on the forums or by contacting the developer. Be careful not to pay for the app, since it is already somewhat non functional, but most of all I shape t it is no longer supported by the developer and is End of Life. Too bad, it was a good app.
Great interface and usability. I bought the pro version. A month or so ago everything stopped. Nothing syncs anymore. Uninstalled, cleared the cache, etc. It just doesn't work. Not on my phone, not on my tablet. Come to think of it, that's the core of the application's functionality. Both the phone and the tablet have version "4.3.1_pro". I can send you the prefs file, or any logs if that's possible to enable in the application, should that help you diagnose the issue. Please fix it.
The best rss reader. Still works perfectly. If you're having difficulty accessing your feedly account via Google account login (because Google blocked third party app access) just use your Facebook or feedly account credentials. If you don't have it activated go to feedly website, go to your profile and add the missing login methodology to your profile. Tada!
I've been using this app for years, and have loved it. However, different sites have made their RSS feeds less reader-friendly, forcing me to load the webpage. That's no problem, except that it takes so long. Where I used to have articles pre-loaded, and could quickly flip from one to the next, I now have to wait for each individual article to load. Rather than having the article available immediately, I have to stare at my screen for 10-15 seconds waiting for it to load article link and go into reading mode. Makes me consider giving up RSS altogether. (I emailed the developer about this long ago and heard nothing.)
