I have been using this app for a few years now and I started out just using the manual setting. But I would forget to start it. So, I switched it to auto. I have made long trips and short trips and app catches it all. If I'm driving all day. I just plug my phone in while I drive - so no battery drain. Then I go online and change the log from business to personal. Yes a little time consuming but I get all my miles. Love this app.
Does not record every trip even on auto recording mode.
So far so good
Unfortunately this app does not work properly on my Mi 6. It records drives sporadically, misses complete trips, doesn't automatically record, even when I have the app running with the screen on.. What can I do? Any settings or permission changes?
I drive for business and don't use the automatic start as not all of my trips are for work; although I do see this as a useful feature for other users. I like that you have the option of choosing business or personal recording and the ability to export to CSV for integrating with custom applications and for my end of year taxes. This application will work for a pedestrian and I have used it to map walking paths while canvassing neighborhoods. The app does consume significant battery and, if using a GPS app (like maps) simultaneously, prepare to have a charger close by. I drive for 6-10 hours some days and my battery would never last without charging. I switched phones recently and noticed my old tracks did not appear when I logged in with my account. I believe they are synched with the website and I kept the old phone as a backup. The only feature that does not function well is the elevation recording. As I understand it, this is an issue with the geosynchronous satellites and not a bug within the application itself. I am in Florida and my reasearch suggests this bug gets worse at sea level and in lower lattitudes. This bug does not affect me personally, as I only use it to track mileage for tax purposes.
I knew i drive a lot and was way off when guessing my monthly gas cost s.im a delivery driver and need a tax credit for gas reimbursement. Its free and easy.check it out for a week . 54cent per mile is going rate for reimbursement.do the math
