Obviously applying the fact that the game's competitve system is very different from the common level-based system, the game is still very fun and kind of addicting. With such a simple goal, yet so many different variables, there are countless ways the game can be performed! Once you get far into the game (level 20+) you won't run into high levels farming you anymore, but I agree that it is silly. Otherwise, I love the game and play it consistently!

The matchmaking could not be worse. It is based on trophies that you get from winning matches , but there is also a level system that gives higher-level players direct advantages over lower-level players (quicker turns, shorter cooldowns, etc.). So, higher level players can purposefully lose matches to be matched against lower level players and beat them into the ground - not through an iota of their own skill, but through the power of a terrible level system.

2023 edit: game has gotten worse of pay to win and game matching. Level 16 gets matched with 3 level 30+ players. They are always going to win. Game is fun for the first little bit but then you quickly realize it is a pay to win model. The more you spend, the more do you get, the better your skills can be set. It also will group you with high level players that you have no chance of winning against. You can't pick your set of levels either it forces you into whatever levels it feels like.
