Little bit repetitive. But overall good game! Kinda sick of seeing the same few patterns but overall a solid game. Just don't expect it to be more than something you have a few rounds of at a time. I particularly don't like not being able to just skip turns as it feels like artificial difficulty. Other than that the features are there just lacks a little on the randomness side of things.
Mismatch of genres This game is really a puzzle game with a roguelike skin. However, a key component of a puzzle game is that you can plan ahead and win any level with the right strategy. The roguelike addition to this basically dumps a random room on you every so often that you cannot finish. It's a strange combination when you think about it. Also there is no wait button. So you will be forced to take the first hit in many fights. Considering you start with 3 health, that's a huge amount of unavoidable damage to take.
Great entry level roguelike Good for small bursts of fun. The upgrade system could use a bit more balancing but that's more of a nitpick than a complaint. Graphics, music and sound effects are atmosphere appropriate. Hard to go wrong with this one. Approved for purchase at full price.
This was $3? Incredibly simple and unfair mechanics. Too many situations where you simply cannot outwit the enemies and are forced to take damage. Don't buy this; Pixel Dungeon and Sproggiwood are much better.
Decent Foundation, Needs Refining The premise and execution are fine, but unfortunately, a couple items are total filler, which makes the game feel even more hollow than it already does. I'm referring to the "skip a turn" spell- which is completely pointless, seeing as you can effectively skip a turn by using any item, such as tossing a dagger (and you can carry up to 5 daggers, much more efficient use of space than the single spell)- and the duplicate level upgrade choices- why bother having duplicates when you can simply adjust RNG?
Awesome gameplay Needs to save your spot when you exit the game for example when I poop at work. Then break time I can go back to where I was. Then I will reward you with 5 stars.
