Nordea ID app provides an easy and secure way to authenticate your identity.

With the app you can do your banking regardless of time and place. Begin by installing the app on your mobile device and go through the activation process. You shouldnā€™t rely on just one copy of the Nordea ID app. If your phone or tablet breaks down or gets lost, you will also lose the Nordea ID app and you will need to go through the activation process again. To avoid this, we recommend that you install the Nordea ID app on more than one mobile device.

With the Nordea ID app you can:
- log in to Nordea services and confirm actions
- confirm online payments in a secure way
- as a personal customer identify yourself in other service providersā€™ services (only in Finland)
- identify yourself when calling Nordea Customer Service. (only in Finland)

The app canā€™t be used on rooted mobile devices for security reasons.

Authentication suddenly stopped working, opened google play to see there was a pending update that would not go forward, so I had to cancel it. The update then disappeared completely and I was stuck with a non working ID, so I reinstalled and now I have to go through the activation process again and wait for Nordea to send another activation code?? What a stupid system

Sorry to hear about your troubles with the Nordea ID-app.. šŸ˜• One option would've been clearing the cache of Google Play -store (in device settings), if the store refuses updates, but if you've deleted the app, it requires the reinstallation unfortunately. -Antti

an (irresponsibly pushed) update caused considerable grief. existing instance started falsely claim that device had no internet connectivity. in reality its the device not connected to _mobile_network_ that makes the app to fail now. maybe banking apps shouldn't be autoupdated at all. p.s. apparently there was a complaint about app no longer working when device in flight mode (wifi connectivity notwithstanding) already in 2022!

Unreliable app and horrible technical assistant. It uninstall during the update, and now I cannot login back. Ridiculous! I order a new activation and pin number, but God knows when it will arrive. The first issue was that the application wasn't creating the QR-code. Now it is, but I am logout. Great! šŸ‘ Fantastic! Nordea needs to work on it. It is fine to focus on security, but it is better when it doesn't create inconvenience for the customers.

We have made security updates and other small improvements to the user experience.
We have improved the activation flow for new customers based on customer feedback.
We are introducing QR code activation for new devices for Norwegian users. We have also added a reminder about the possibility to use biometrics with the app.
