From time to time VPN drops the connection and/or gets hung or something. Then I have to disconnect and reconnect to get the network going again. There was another update today, so I had to log in again, which is somewhat understandable. When I tested Nord VPN it was faster and cost less than my previous. Hope today's update fixes the issues I'm seeing. If not, I'll try TCP and then have to move on if there is still no joy

Not a bad VPN; however, the mobile app could use some work. The first issue that needs attention is the fact that it continues to disconnect. Next, there are almost no config settings. This greatly reduces its effectiveness. Other than that, I would like to have the kill switch setting.

I hate how often it disconnects and I'm infuriated how long it takes to reconnect. But there was a deal on a two year plan, and NordVPN is respected for it's privacy. I hate how it doesn't reliably auto connect on boot up or restart. What's the point of buying this is you have to baby it into doing what it should already do.

Easy to use, and nice for security. For some reason the app keeps signing me out, so every few days I have to log in again which is annoying. I changed my review from 3 to 4 stars because the developer replied they're aware of the issue and will address it in future updates.

Sometimes I'll notice that the app is no longer running and the VPN connection has been lost. There is no indication of what happened to it. This is disconcerting as my email and other apps have been syncing in the background over an unsecured connection. Kind of defeats the purpose of having a VPN.

App constantly disconnects and very often doesn't reconnect. TCP protocol is enabled. Auto Connect (United States) is enabled. Auto Update Config is enabled. I have no "favorite" servers. All my devices are connected to different servers.

As for kill-switch: Navigate to Settings, More under Wireless & Networks then VPN. Tap the three dot menu button and select Always-on VPN. This will keep you connected.

Hey David, issues like yours usually occur when a third party app deletes OpenVPN configuration files. In order for them to be downloaded again, user must re-login. However, we are aware of the problem and will fix it with later updates.

I love Nord's security but the app keeps disconnecting when I change from WiFi to Mobile network and vice versa. I've tried contacting Support but they weren't much help. May have to move on after Subscription is up unless they sort it out.

The transition between 4G when on the move and wireless when at home etc. has the rather frustrating point of dropping out completely. This leads to having reconnect manually when you notice (if you notice). If the reconnection could be managed more effectively it would be 5 stars from me! 🤓

Streaming from amazon.de doesn't work. I checked lots of your German servers. On PC it works fine. I especially disappointed with the answer of the support guy. Give my money back or fix the problem.

The VPN service itself is great, definitely worth the 5-star rating; the software on the other hand, not so much (at least this has been my personal experience). The windows app keeps on crashing on Windows 10 (I've ended up using Open VPN client instead, and it works flawlessly). The Android app crashes less often but when it does it forgets it has ever been used (e.g. your user name and password, as well as any and all of your custom settings). So bottom line, service is great, but software could use some TLC.

The App won't allow me to connect to any server no matter what network I try from. I slide the tab to connect or choose a country, and the app won't connect. Reported the issue, but the help desk don't seem to know how to fix it either, but offered me a workaround. Useless App. *Update* Changing TCP settings was one of the suggestions made by the helpdesk, but it makes no difference. The Android app simply doesn't connect to any server on my pixel xl, and the helpdesk doesn't know how to fix it. **UPDATE** The app now works as it should after some recent updates, and is now a great vpn with no issues when connecting. Rating upgraded.

Hi, really sorry for inconvenience. Try switching to TCP protocol from app settings menu to check if the issue persists. From my first impression it seems that ports on your network are blocked, switching to TCP protocol might resolve the problem.

WHY DOES IT KEEP RANDOMLY TURNING OFF??? How am I supposed to be protected if the connection just disconnects randomly without any notice, and even though it supposedly tries to reconnect, it never actually does. This isnt cheap you know? Please fix this ASAP, Ive been putting up with this for too long.

While I appreciate the number of different servers I can connect to, I had several issues with the connection being slow and the VPN disconnecting which I tried to tolerate for the sake of a secure connection. Then it asked me to login and wouldn't accept my credentials. Support chat said they couldn't find my email registered in the system anywhere even though the payment I made to subscribe was accepted through the Google play store and linked to the email. Waiting for a reply from them to see if they can find the email or cancel and refund my account. 😔 Update... I was never given a ticket id. I can send you a copy of the chat transcript if that helps. Update... They were able to fix my login issues in a timely manner. I appreciate the good customer service.. 👍

i love this vpn its great an fast an secure the only problem is that it disconnects every few seconds or minutes, i had the vpn on i was seeing how good it was on hiding info then it turned off by it self all of a sudden, i will keep updates if i come across anymore issues. Heres an update the server i connected too was AntiDDoS an it keeps disconnecting after a few seconds.

Easy to setup and get running on both phone and tablet. Had a conflict with Wi-Fi Assistant and tech support was responsive and helpful. Easy to switch servers and easy to know it's working with key icon in tray.

PROs: Easy to use, no log policy, fast customer service. CONs: unstable speed, crowded servers and servers listed by countries and number instead of city. Hard to find which server is closest to where you want to connect.

Hi Robban, you can choose any specific server you like. Simply go to the settings menu by tapping on three horizontal lines in the upper left corner of the app and then tap on the "Full server list". From there you will be able to pick any server you like.

I love it but sometimes servers stop without warning. Any samsung galaxy s8 plus owner, you can only use nordvpn upon startup. If you disconnect and try to reconnect, you cannot. Click any button to connect to anything and it won't. Make sure it is set to start at boot. If you ever disconnect you must reset.

I find that every now and then I get signed out of my account, this also happens on Windows too. Also always seems to connect using TCP rather than UDP, even though I haven't enabled it is the settings.

UPDATE. Visited their website and it appears you need to use specific US Servers #707-711 in order to stream Netflix services. Thank you for the support. App fails to startup on desktop when attempting to open the app. Usually have to reinstall app.
