About this app

ExpressNS+™ is the next generation mobile application created by Norfolk Southern to make the Ingate, Outgate, On-Terminal, and Pre-Gate procedures to our intermodal facilities easier for Intermodal Drivers. The legacy app has been migrated to a new more advanced platform with updates to the application’s user interface, improved user experience, as well as more modern and forward-looking features & integrations.

Intermodal Drivers can perform the following functions using ExpressNS+™:
* Submit Pre-Gate Information
* Obtain Visuals of Parking & Pick up Locations
* Search by Reservation Number or Equipment ID

App logs you out automatically after a few hours. Despite fingerprint being enabled, it requires you to put in log in information. App is overall slow to respond. Pressing ingate under the "my work" section sometimes doesn't work and is usually slow to respond. Sometimes I get a black screen after hitting it multiple times because it fails to respond. These issues lead to increase time spent messing with the app and more traffic issues at the rail yard. The old app worked great, this one sucks.

Trying to login and it won't let me select country or state. When the app remembers that option i have to go through about 6 steps to login because with every press it says that I've been logged out. Extremely annoying. This all started when I got a new phone, so app needs a compatibility update, and more than once a year because the last update was August 2023

Still can't see the chassis ID under equipment look up. Can only see it when CREATE OUTGATE button is available, most of the time it's grayed out because spotters never enter chassis ID, esp at 47th and Calumet in Chicago. Old version was faster and better, new version sucked since day 1.
