Functions as a rep counter and diary, but not as a personal trainer. It doesn't help you to determine how often you should train, when to rest or when to progress to the next level. With this app I have been stuck on the same level for weeks (when you feel the workout is "right", it will stay the same, when you click "so easy", it will ramp up way too fast). Push ups fitness trainer has got me on track again, by quietly pushing much smaller increments.
It gets me to work out, and remember by sending me reminders and notifications on my phone. It's actually got me do push-ups regularly for the first time in probably a year. The other apps are all awesome too. Get them. Stop saying you're going to get in shape or you're going to do it eventually. Just get these apps and get on it.
Perfect App. Unlike other apps this one actually works with my current strength rather than setting everyone the same challenge and making me feel like I failed when the next day target is too high. I did 38 push ups on day 1 and struggled alot on the last push up so the app will have me stay on 38 until I am comfortable which is cool and makes me wanna advance. Other apps had me lose all motivation when I failed to meet the new step.
Perfect little widget and clever proximity push up sensor (sit ups and squats by the same developer I also use and are great). Tracks over time with graphs. I love data and the fact it lets me know how many pushups I've done in a day and how many to beat means I am my own teacher. Flawless App Suggestions: Perhaps integrate all exercises into one app and allow skins for the widgets as they look a bit clunky. Add timer for plank side and front into the ab exercises.
I have been using this app for almost two years. It coached me from 20 push ups to over 200 all at once. I stopped using it twice during that time, but it remembered my record and is bringing me back to where I left off. It's the best workout app I know of. I also use the sit-ups app.
I think it's an amazing app keeps a personal record which i find useful. After one week of using I can see significant visible differences but I have a low body fat and could already do 20 continuous push ups. But I can now do more and it has been great for me
