By Abu Bakr ibn Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Ubayd ibn Sufyan ibn Qais Al-Baghdadi, known as Ibn Abi Al-Dunya

Enjoy reading the book "Relief After Hardship" by Ibn Abi Al-Dunya with the best offline app for books and stories, and many other features.

Do not be alarmed by hardship, for after it comes a relief that leads to great misfortunes. All events, when they come to an end, are connected to relief.

A collection of stories from the righteous predecessors, including supplications for relief from distress, reminding you that relief is near and that every hardship has ease. It also discusses the etiquette and beauty of supplication.

The book is briefly about creativity in supplication to seek relief from hardship. The book contains Quranic verses and hadiths that foretell the nearness of relief, as well as the supplications attributed to the Prophet for this purpose. The author then moves on to mention some stories/narratives from history about people who experienced hardships and the (creative) supplications they resorted to to the Creator seeking relief. The book is inspiring in this respect. Finally, the book concludes with various verses of poetry about the easing of hardship and the nearness of relief.

Author:
Al-Hafiz Abu Bakr, Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Ubayd ibn Sufyan ibn Qays al-Baghdadi al-Qurashi, their client, one of the freed slaves of the Umayyads (208 AH - 281 AH), nicknamed Ibn Abi al-Dunya (his nickname overshadowed his name, to the point that he became known by it). Al-Hafiz Abu Bakr was born in Baghdad in the early third century AH in the year 208 AH. He is an Arab historian and literary figure who taught the Abbasid Caliph al-Mu'tadid and his son al-Muktafi.
Al-Hafiz Ibn Kathir - may God have mercy on him - said about him in Al-Bidayah wa al-Nihayah: “He is famous for his many beneficial, popular, and well-known works on spiritual matters and other matters. He was truthful, a memorizer, and a man of honor.”

❇️ Some reviews of the book "Relief After Hardship" by Ibn Abi Al-Dunya ❇️

▪️Source of reviews: www.goodreads.com/book/show/8493641▪️

- If distress becomes intense, great, and extreme, and the servant despairs of relief from creation, and his heart clings to God alone, then God suffices those who trust in Him. Messages of good tidings of God's relief, no matter how narrow the world seems to its people. The book is considered a book of education and soul purification. It is included in the encyclopedia of Ibn Abi Al-Dunya's Letters.
Obied Alahmed

- A light and comforting book that instills peace of mind. It contains narrations from the righteous predecessors, in addition to poetry.
Ghufran

- A beautiful book that works to purify the soul from worldly impurities. It contains hadiths of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on patience, stories that happened to the Companions and Followers during hardships, and a collection of verses recited about affliction and relief. .. One of the best and most valuable books I've read recently
Coincidence F

- The book includes news of relief and hardship, many events, supplications, and hadiths. The book is a reference for the times, and for anyone who wants to raise their hands and supplicate but doesn't know what to say.
Jawaher Tuw

- I entered these messages in one state and left them in another, as if they were a healing antidote and water that quenches thirst. May God reward the author. I'm not saying they should be read repeatedly, but I am saying they should be memorized, as they can be used in times of need. Whoever wants a humble garden of good tidings and glad tidings should read it.

❇️ Some quotes from the book "Al-Faraj Ba'd Al-Shiddah" by Ibn Abi Al-Dunya ❇️

"O God, grant me relief and a way out from everything that concerns and distresses me in this world and the next, and forgive my sins, and establish Your men in my heart, and cut it off from everyone other than You, so that I have no hope except I hope in You..."

"Say, 'O God, grant me relief and a way out from all that concerns and distresses me in this world and the Hereafter, and forgive my sins and establish Your hope in my heart and sever it from everyone other than You, until I have no hope except in You.'"

"If You do not forgive in matters, they will become difficult for You...so forgive and mix difficulty with ease. I have not seen anything more protective against affliction than piety...and I have not seen anything more healing for adversity than patience."

"O God, forgive me the sins that bring down punishments, forgive me the sins that change blessings, forgive me the sins that bring about regret, forgive me the sins that withhold portions, forgive me the sins that violate bonds, forgive me the sins that bring down affliction, forgive me the sins that hasten annihilation, forgive me the sins that give victory to enemies, forgive me the sins that sever hope, forgive me the sins that repel supplications, and forgive me..." Forgive me for the sins that hold back the rain from the sky, and forgive me for the sins that darken the air, and forgive me for the sins that uncover the veil.
