Has gone from favorite app to unusable. Used to flawlessly transcribe almost every word. Now, can't find majority of people in my address book, botches huge number of words, and customer service basically just said that others are having similar problems and they will report it to engineering.
Better than speaktoit assistant The voice recognition is great it says it can hear me loud and clear and doesn't ask me to repeat myself. That was a big hang up I had with my speaktoit assistant and I paid for yearly subscription for that. I'm very pleased with dragon.
Mr. Bubba Is not able 2 differentiate between words like deference and difference, asked for definition of the 1st but was given the definition 4 the 2nd. She also tends display Google a little 2 quickly 4 some answers she should be able to give. Will keep to w@ch the learning curve.
It's the next step Even though I write this with Google speech recognition because that's what came up. I believe that nuance dragon is the next step. By no means is it perfect and I've only used it for about 20 minutes but I can tell you it sure does beat Google. And if I'm not wrong nuance dragon is owned by IBM who I used to work for as far as I remember had the most powerful servers in the world. I also remember that Watson the computer mind that IBM created beat all the best jeopardy players on TV. Whatever but the point is speech recognition is bound to evolve and who knows what the future may hold.
Out of the Ballpark! Been using Naturally Speaking on my PC since the 1.0 iteration. Tried this on my LG and it's a keeper. After running through a couple of more difficult phrases, it caught on quickly and has gotten everything right. It can only get better. It's blown similar Android apps (Hound, Google, etc.) out of the water.
Best system for hands free Worked better than Google Now for use in my car dock, especially composing emails where it uses a large font and reads it back to you, and interactively allows you to change your subject or message. Also better for text messaging. I definitely know what app I'll be getting if I ever get a non-Motorola phone. Unfortunately, didn't seem to play too nicely with my 2013 Moto X, which has its own built-in voice assistant, largely from Nuance also.
