The latest version of the app is superb, the latest version of the firmware is brilliant. I love these things, the audio quality when listening to music is superb, the IQ buds ability to shut out the world when they are properly inserted is nothing short of miraculous. My only niggle, sometimes I get little blips from the bluetooth connection where a vocal piece will judder and that can annoy. Mostly though, it's silky smooth. Would I recommend, I absolutely would, if you suffer from hearing people in complicated environments, then get these, they help!
BLUETOOTH! Fix it! My back pocket shouldn't be too far away for Bluetooth connectivity...but it is.. .I use these for music when I'm sitting down....but I use a cheap pair of Bluetooth headphones when walking or going about. In fact due to the Bluetooth problems I find myself using the nuheara ear buds less and less. .
I want to love these, as a sound engineer and soon-to-be audiologist. The first month they worked beautifully and I did love them and I did recommend them, but since then I've never been able to get them to pair properly or for the app to work because the app doesn't think that they're paired. So I'm stuck with the settings I first started them with, and I am never able to stream music to them, so I basically take them out every couple weeks and try to get them to work and then put them back, frustrated. These basic functions need to be addressed, it's been months and seems like the connectivity issues and the Bluetooth range issues have not been addressed. I believe Nuheara recently was awarded a lot of money, so hopefully these will be fixed
Brilliant app upgrade. Definitely a big step forward for wireless earbuds. Love the control this app gives you over your music etc. Worth the upgrade from my 2 year old -another brand- bluetooth earbuds.
The app refuses to install on my phone (HTC Desire 510) - claims it's not a compatible device. Not good enough, Nuheara!
TL:DR - Sadly the IQ Buds are dumb and the Super Intelligent Noise Cancellation is even dumber. Aw man! How disappointed I am with the app and the product! I do believe Nuheara is onto something, and the next version will probably be worth your time and money but this product appears like an unfinished prototype. The bluetooth is beyond terrible. If you are holding your phone in your hand, the sound will cut out, BECAUSE YOUR HAND IS TOO FAR AWAY from the IQ Buds. So you either will have to hold your phone close to your head at all time, or you need to wear a jacket with an shallow inner pocket that is at chest height. Just forget about putting your phone in your pants' pocket like a normal person. Ironically, the SINC (Super Intelligent Noise Cancellation) is really DUMB! You manually will have to open the app and constantly tweak it, else when you are in "World On" mode, it will let in a metallic hiss whether you are in a park or in the street. Have this product with been tested outside before release? They are also bulky and the design is unflattering, making you look like a dork. Touch control feels too inaccurate to be useful for anything but pausing the music.
Configurable Tap Touch: Control your music from your IQbuds. Next track, previous track, volume up and volume down.
