The NVIDIA SHIELD TV app lets you log in to your favorite GeForce NOW games on SHIELD even faster.

The app gives you instant access to a virtual mouse and keyboard, which makes it simple for you to enter your username and password into game services like Steam®, EPIC Games, and Uplay™.

To get started, connect your Android phone or tablet to the same network as your SHIELD.

App used to work beautifully. In the last few months it has become nearly unusable. I can no longer use my phone keyboard to type in url bar. It allows me to type 1 letter before it just spams the quick response bar not allowing me to type or erase anything.... ---- Half way through 2025 here and on a new phone. still no improvement!!! I bought a wireless kb and mouse instead!.

Would bump up to 5 stars if you could configure the app to start out as the remote vs displaying the apps. The Android TV app is not as nice as yours but it loads quickly, and right into a remote function. The load screen is annoyingly long too. It should just load quickly and be available to use quickly, if the user wants to set it as such. Function-wise it is the best remote app for the shield, it's just too slow to get it to that point.

Phantom keystrokes (stuck going in one direction) and difficultly staying paired. It could be the aggressive way Huawei power manages. But it was working great the first couple of days. Now it's unusable. It sees it.. Pairs and drops it and unpairs but remembers the IP or Mac address pairs when I choose it and connects and then after showing the main screen it disconnects and does it all over again. Phone is up to date. Shield is up to date. Back to keyboard and controller for me.
