Has a bunch of potential but the interface is really poor. Would love to see an ability to search through saved recipes, and organize recipes with better ease. If there were more options of lists, I think it would be easier to explore rather than searching by chef/artist submitting the recipes. Love the idea and the database, bust as far as execution goes

I love NYT recipes and fill my recipe box accordingly. But this app has two main flaws. One appears to be a bug in that the category folders do not contain all of the appropriate recipes. For example, I added the recipe for the drink Tinto de Verano to my box, but it does not show in the Drink category filter. So if you can't remember the recipe name, this is a problem. And this issue is compounded by my second problem, that I can't search for recipes just in my box.

Version 2.73 from August 18, 2023 still has a very buggy grocery list feature and they still haven't introduced a dark mode, which is important for an app that needs the screen to be left on for extended periods while you're cooking. Everything the app does is better experienced on their website. It's disappointing since I'm a big fan of their recipes. I assume that no one who works at the NY Times actually uses an Android phone, so why would they care?
