If Observa rejects an observation, is the data still sent to the customer?

Never. At Observa, we only want to pass along high-quality data to our customers, so we discard data from rejected observations. We only reject an observation if the secret shopper didn’t follow the instructions correctly. Right now, more than 90% of observations are accepted.

I spent more than 30 minutes doing an audit after driving more than 10 miles from my home. I asked two associates about missing items I couldn't locate after locating others. They advised that said items were either completely out of stock, or not carried. There were other items that were not carried at this location as well. After submission I received a rejection. This process is inefficient. The time, energy, and resources invested made the ordeal a net loss.

The app was good for a while but in January of 2026 it has few to no observations in the state of Florida. Very disappointing! I completed many observations for this company. Pay was quick at first, but after inquiring why pay was taking longer, it now is usually 5 days before pay is received. I have notifications turned on. Now, on occasion, they have observations to be completed in the Orlando area but definitely no where near as many as they have had in the past 2-3 years.

They pay in a timely manner, usually about 1 day during the week and if its on the weekend, its usually the next business day. I wish that there was more opportunities & an increase in the dollar amount offered. I have no complaints customer service is professional, just make sure you follow all the directions, so your observation is accepted. I have done an estimated 10 and only had 1 not accepted. this was because they wanted all of the rows of food item in the picture & I left some rows out
