Need to allow download to SD card! App is a Major Memory Hog! Audio ebooks take a lot of memory, so you can only add one, possibly two books at a time. The Overdrive app gives you options where to download the file to 3 different places automatically in the settings. I have all my books sent to my SD card. That way my limited space on my tablet doesn't get eaten up by the ebooks. Low memory causes too many problems with all my other apps. So now I rarely use this app. Too bad though but do agree with others it is a little hard to search to
Good app but minor problems When I first started using the app, I could read more infomation after d/l the book, now just get partial sentence. Wish the hold list was visible to user, books would be marked after it was checked out and returned.
I used a PC to borrow an e-book from my library's version of the oneclickdigital website in order to try it out. It was fairly easy to login on my e-reader (an Android tablet). Downloading the e-book was straightforward. The download link was too small to hit with finger but the Download All button was large enough. The tutorial uses small text (is it zoomable or replayable?) but was readable on my 7" screen. The tutorial didn't disclose that you can make the e-reader full screen (by double tapping). I was surprised that opening an e-book unilaterally changed the screen brightness. The brightness was too high. The app reported an error in pagination. The right side of the page was often cropped (e.g. on restart). Opening the e-book was very slow with some flickering. After a while you can read normally (except the page is cropped so part of each line is missing). The app should not override user brightness preferences. It's undesirable for the app to duplicate Android brightness UI - it isn't easier to set brightness in the App than via the system setting. Unlike Android's brightness UI, the app doesn't have an automatic brightness setting. The app used too much RAM.
What happened?! Nothing is loading. Use the search engine for all Mystery books and one page comes up. Under Fantasy only 5 books? Something's not right. Please fix.
Love audio books I use this app all the time at work and home. It's easy to use and love that it's free. But I'm having a hard time getting my favorite audio books on my wish list to save and sometimes the picture for the audio book doesn't show up on my checked out screen. I would like those bugs fixed. Other than that, I like the app a lot.
A wonderful app I have listened to more wonderful books on this app than I can mention. It works pretty much flawlessly all the time. No costs - just a library card and that's it!
