Very buggy and user unfriendly Paging is very difficult, resulting in paging in the opposite direction than intended. App periodically reformats the pages, spontaneously, from justified to left-justified, which causes it to lose the last few pages of the current chapter, until you can get it to switch back to fully justified. Search acts nonsensically. E.g. search for"David Marusek" and get 0 results. Search for "Marusek" and get 2 results. Search Authors for "Marusek" and get 0 results. Doesn't sync current position and bookmarks.
I love this app! I'm in my car a lot, audio books make the time go by faster and are way better than the radio. It's also great to have my stories pick right back up where i left them. I wish there were a larger selection of books though and that Chicago had more than one copy of new releases for the whole darn city!
Does the job of playing audiobooks. No long lines of holds on any that I've seen, which is nice! There's apparently a second player, the Legacy Player, but even with it turned on I can't figure out how to access it? I was hoping that it would enable selecting different playback speeds but so far I cannot find anything in this app that allows that.
It USED to be glorious, what has happened? Have been using this app to obtain my library audio loans. It has been a GREAT success for almost 2yrs. Easy to operate, easy to search the library, save etc. The last 4 months "one click" seems to have died! Have uninstalled and reinstalled, etc and the whole program seems to have ground to a halt. It may take 10minutes before responding. Whatever has happened please fix it so we can once again use this fantastic app. If not the library service needs a new means of internet app.
Please update the app/website to allow items on hold to be frozen so that I don't get 4 audio books checked out at the same time. I can't listen to 4 audio books that are 10+ hours long in 3 weeks! The bookmark function doesn't work on the ebooks. It doesn't sync to my other mobile device. It would be great if the ebook let me continue reading from where I left off instead of defaulting to the 1st page everytime I open it. I'd also like the option to download my books to the SD card.
It has a great selection of books, but it does not allow the listener to change the playback speed, which is essential. There are many long books that cannot be finished within the time allowed for checkout by the library because of the lack of playback speed control. At this point in time, all decente audiobook listening apps have playback speed. What is taking OCD so long to catch up?
