So I am updating my review and down grading my rating. Oneclick digital was a far superior app. On this one the search sucks because I cant search by author full name as it returns no results. I can only search by last name. If I search by genra I only get results with the right one...For example I had a book checked out that had romance and historical romance listed as genra. I only got results if I put in historical romance. Add author and other search criteria and you probably wont find the book. I drive a lot and use this app every day so I am daily frustrated. Also, books that I have enjoyed multiple times are no longer available. I know my library controls the content but I dont trust this app to find all the books I would want to read.
This app is amazing! I love listening to all the books. I don't have access to the e-books, but that may be because of my library. Something to note, if you can't log-in, verify your library card is still valid, I got locked out for a bit because of mine expiring 😂
As a UK Cheshire Library user it had been working fine but now I can only check out a book but not download it. It just fails. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but no joy. I have submitted a report to RB Digital but no fix yet. Watch this space.....I am not sure now what has changed but I can now download successfully. So 5 stars from me.
Terrible! Zinio was so much better even though it wasn't the greatest app but at least I could read magazines I checked out. Since zinio has been replaced by RBdigital, I barely could download any magazines successfully. Maybe one out of ten of my checked out items. What a pain and my joy of reading magazines is completely destroyed by this horrible app.
Zinio was pretty terrible and this is far worse. Just doing the basics is slow and cumbersome. Being able to check out, download and read a magazine shouldn't take this long. Interface is pretty lacking too, reading list layout makes it hard to see all of your magazines and there's no covers in offline mode.
I used to think Zinio for libraries, the predecessor to this app, sucked. But compared to this piece of garage that was sheer heaven. If there was something called 90s mobile app design, I know there isnt but still, this would be it. Terrible UI, by people who have obviously never before read a magazine or book in their lives. And to think they deactivated Zinio for libraries when this came out. Dear British Council, if you're reading this, please take this app out and shoot it, along with the team that picked this for your readers.
