Review from Kelly Norton
You finally added an option to listen at 2x speed like every other audiobook player out there! And it worked great, until the most recent update. Now it doesn't work at at all. You just had to mess with it.
October 24, 2017Hi Kelly Would you mind trying again? If the app isn't changing the speed for you please email me so we can help. Thanks again email@example.com
Had to update as previous version stopped working. However the ability to switch to text mode appeared to be absent in the update. Had to zoom and pan to read the magazine articles. Emailed for help and Brett from Howe very helpful. Advised to remove app, reboot my Hudl2 and install it again. Works fine now. Can read all mags for free via my local library eg Economist, New Scientist, Astronomy, Classic Cars, Yachting Monthly....
I use this mostly with my library account, and it's slow, crashes, fails to download about half the magazines I've checked out, and (usually) won't open offline. Pales in comparison to Zinio. Update: three months later - more magazines are working, still fails miserably to work offline. Usability still pales in comparison to Zinio. Get the thing to work offline and I'll be happy.
App was working fine then, like always, there's an update which stops it from working as it was. I check out a magazine, then when I go to read it it says the data for that magazine is unavailable, please try again later. If the latest magazine isn't available to read, don't display it. For an app that was working fine, you really know how to collect one stars.
They fixed all the querks I previously complained about. It takes a little longer to start playing a book now, but my phone is aging. I appreciate that I can rewind 30 sec easily. I also like that I can see all the chapters and how long they are.
Good app could allow use to sort by publication date rather than a number and crashes more often than predecessor Zinio. But again you get free....access to some excellent material so 4 instead of 3 but definitely room to you improve...
Forced to change from Zinio to this and it's absolutely rubbish. Now can't download magazines via mobile data, shows stupid figures like -28000% downloaded.
Various enhancements and bug fixes.
Listen to app reading aloud web pages, PDF, DOC, TXT, EPUB and FB2 files, more.
